I am extremely concerned about House passage of the Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education (GIVE) Act H R 1388, 321 to 105. I have studied this Act and must tell you I totally disagree with any act forcing involuntary national servitude, especially under control of the current Administration who’s Domestic and National Security policies I Strongly disagree with. This Administration’s extreme narcissism seems to believe their agenda is supported by the majority of Americans so wholeheartedly that the agenda should be implemented via law. This simply is not true as we are a free nation and support for this current Administration eroding quickly. This Act is illegal and violates Amendment XIII of the U.S. Constitution. Congress sidestepped their duty in upholding the Constitution and must not have referred to Amendment XIII before voting. I sincerely am not surprised, as Congress recently violated Article 1 of the Constitution just last week in voting to pursue tax of AIG bonuses the White House itself authorized to disperse.
Senator, we ask that you voice a strong opposition to this extremely strange & illegal Act and obvious power grab of the Administration. This Administration is out of control and is not looking out for the citizens of America, but only for themselves. There are many concerned citizens out here right now.
