That’s what the caterpillar asked Alice in Wonderland. It’s a question I’m asking about the released information on our interrogation methods.

Obama thinks it’s enlightened to ingratiate himself to lunatic Latin American dictators on behalf of the country and bow to pompous monarchs of repressive cultures. It’s the kind of twisted leftwing enlightenment that thinks putting a caterpillar in a confined space with a man who would conspire to murder Americans is part of a dark chapter in our history. Juan Williams displayed with breathtaking clarity the naive gullibility required to believe people “who will chop your head off in a second” will respect us for our adherence to higher principles.
We are talking about psychopaths who live in cultures where women are considered chattel and whipped to the point of screaming agony in a public square, homosexuals are hanged from cranes, honor killings and beheadings are par for the course and seriously agonizing torture is actually practiced. The Europeans who will supposedly be impressed by our mea culpa are increasingly willing to turn a blind eye to brutal Sharia practices within their own countries. But eek, a caterpillar! What barbarians the Americans are! Our methods are nothing like the images the word “torture” conjures up.
Alice’s problem was that she was too small and wanted to be bigger. Obama’s agenda is to cut America down to make himself large in the eyes of America-hating globalists.
This is the caterpillar I’d like to use during interrogations.
I like Juan Williams and normally he is quite level headed even when I disagree with him, but wow is he naive indeed! Any show of restraint by our side is automatically seen as a sign of weakness.
I loved this – it show’s how ridiculous the idea is that “America has to be nice to captured terrorists”. I wonder if Juan would take a moment to seriousoy look at this, would he get the absurdities of his comments.
If and when (and I have my doubts) the Countries of the Middle East and their terrorists respect Human Rights, then that should be the time they get the same treatment from the civilized world.
As far as the rest of the World (I.E. Europe) and whether they like us or not, I don’t give a damn. I’ll bet that when Europe is engulfed in Islamofacism and teetering on collapse, (and it IS happening now) they will like us again. Any takers?
i thought it was quite telling when Juan really could not identify how that disclosure helps us. this administration is so adolescent in just wanting to be popular.
all this spite of peter griffin/baghdad bob keeping me in stitches with every press conference.

These intelligence files exposure have done it for me.
In just about a quarter year we’ve been hit with an E EMP (Or E2MP) – Elected – Electric Magnetic Pulse bomb. The intelligence community sourcing and CI has been neutralized. Collateral intelligence given away off as surplus library material. At Georgetown the religious identity neutralized, where Professor John Esposito, what Ward Churchill would be to the Native Americans, he is to the Muslim Botherhood, sings the praises of Islam and rues our victimizaton of them (Some $audi Grants, maybe?). Maybe the next foreign policy will dictate that “The United States in not a Christi……We are a Secular World Community…. DHS has issued a new ‘watch’ or black list. I expect the Islamic Development Bank will not be too keen on financing non-Sharia re-development. Legal practices have been cherry-picked – show and tell on some, hold and scold on others. And, if we blink a new form of amnesty will possibly offer fast-track (a new affirmative action) to government employment and citizenship as a reward (note the sequence). (Think of an inverted Lodge Act, with merit given to subverting what was once the good side of the Iron Curtain.) We’ll have more czars than a Romanov family gathering, all equipped with Executive Orders . The Turks will allow our troops to egress through from Iraq as opposed to their blocking of our earlier transit agreement as an ally.
Maybe an imam will be assigned, a pro-caliph, like Pro Consul Bremer, to abolish institutions like the American Legion and the VFW.
And it’s only April. And the French no longer produce any white sheets we could use as flags. Sarkozy burned the lot, not knowing Obama would want them so soon. Wait until ACORN emerges from the post-victory hangovers, awakens to Springtime and sets upon the streets of your town and mine. As I wrote, It’s only April, with 1370 days to go.
But, who will we be then?
Someone forgot to tell Obama that these people rip out toenails, boil feet and hands, cut off fingers, burn and mutilate and maim, and cut heads off. We should all pray for Nick Berg or Daniel Pearl. Dear God, what horror. And why do you think the terrorists did that? To instill fear perhaps. But wait, Obama would sit with them, without precondition. Did he think Che or Fidel’s point-blank executions were any different before he struck up the conversation?
Just a little different than coercive force tactics like loud music, waterboarding, or putting flying insects into your darkened confined space and telling you one of them is a hornet, dontcha think?
And what possible reason to release this information to our enemies? Purely political, and yet another means to discredit George W. Bush. It’s starting to look like Barack Hussein Obama is just another hyperpartisan Bush-hater.
It’s hard to keep up with the multiple atrocities per day Obama is committing against the country, but I love the inclusion of the hooka-smoking, smoke-letter-forming caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland & the final “Caterpillar” picture so much that I am smiling.
Thanks for another great post, Pat :)
Excellent juxtaposition of caterpillars, Pat, proving that a picture is worth a thousand words.
Where is the outrage over the beheading of Daniel Pearl, and the fact that his son will never see him, never know him but for a picture? His wife, who lost her husband at the same time she was having his child? The people (term used loosely) whom some are so concerned about how they are treated are terrorists–they are part of the organization that killed Daniel Pearl so cruelly. How about concern for the people who died in the 9/11 crashes–planes and in the twin towers? Do you think these terrorists concerned themselves about how cruelly the passengers and the people working in the towers and pentagon were treated–whether they were tortured–do you think KNOWING you are going to die is not a form of torture? How would you rather be tortured–in a small box with a caterpillar, or on a fully fueled jet heading straight for a building? At least with the caterpillar, you have a smidgeon of hope for survival. Jet headed for a building, not so much. Where is the outrage over the 3000 people who were tortured on 9/11? They died. We’ve never lost one of these “tortured” terrorists yet. Even the guy with the deadly caterpillar. He’s still alive to tell the tale. Unfortunately, we can’t say the same for Daniel Pearl, Todd Beamer, and the rest of our people the terrorists have tortured and killed. Sorry, I’m calling a spade a spade–these people are terrorists.
