Avoiding the risk of losing my identity as being a sacastic curmudgeon, though I just came in from Mass, I guess we could all live in hope that we can overcome a lot.
While I’m entering into these waters; my parish is right in the heart of secular Boston. Today’s 9:30 was packed. It’s usually full, but today was packed – out the door.
I’ll often attend the 6PM on Sundays which is a student Mass. It always impressed me how filled it is with students (OK, I’ll give to the dating notion). This is in a city with a more than a few colleges and universities. But what I find interesting and encouraging is the fact that these are the kids who are away from home; no parents herding them into the car. Just a thought.
