The proponents of amnesty speak as though the moment illegals receive legal status further illegal immigration will cease. It won’t. The problem will persist until the porous border is closed. Illegals will underbid the newly minted legals for jobs and employers will employ them. We will be adding to the unemployment and welfare rolls and, oh yes, the voter registration rolls.

Amnesty has been tried. Every couple of decades the illegal population has gotten so large we’re told we can’t do anything about it. We make them legal then start amassing the next round of illegals.

No one who enters the country illegally should ever be eligible for citizenship. That won’t be a hindrance because the people entering illegally are not like the immigrants of old. They do not have a passion for America. Granting citizenship to people who really don’t care about it dilutes the citizenship of the rest of us.

No guest worker program even if it were strictly monitored will stop illegal entry. The place to stop illegal immigration is at the border. Our government is unwilling to do that.

One thing that always strikes about Libs, is the fact that when one tries to make a point, that they don’t agree with, they talk at the same time. In effect shouting you down.
“My mind is made up, don’t confuse me with the facts”

Again with the Obama dream river policies. The word “likely” always gives the clue this is wishful thinking. The liberals, the democrats, obama and crew all love to expand into dreamland, wishing and hoping the plan will work. Precisely like being drunk.

  4. Idiot#3 says:

OK, Urkel, we give up. You can declare your aunt Cheetah a US citizen. Now leave the 40 million other illegals out of this.

    pat_s,

Hammer, nail, head. Illegal amnesty will never work. Have we learned nothing from history?

  7. Thanks for posting this so I could watch it at a decent hour.
You looked good for that hour and you certainly sounded strong.
When you get too good I think I can give up fighting the bama and let you do it all…I am tired and would like to leave it to the stronger set.
    This too shall past.

Looks like our girl was up early today. You looked fab as usual and were “dead on”.

Fox needs a TAMMY SHOW. Three minutes is not enough for a “Tammy fix” ;)

Very good on Fox this morning (You had several night Peeps up early to watch!) although I can’t stand the debate format. You looked great for 5:20 AM.

Your opponent started w/ a nonsensical point and progressed from there. She said b/c of the recession most of the Mexicans were going back. OK…then why give them amnesty??? Then she said w/ amnesty their wages would increase b/c they’d be able to stick up for themselves. And how exactly would that help us? I also found it funny that she sat comfortably in NYC while you live in LA, one of the cities most affected by the scourge of the open border.

I did like the style of the lady who conducted the interview (Was it Alisyn Camerota?). She did a good job.

  10. HALEY says:

    Tammy, you’re awesome.

    Happy Easter, everyone!

  11. laughingatpinheads says:

Great job Tammy. The other woman is a complete MORON who rudely interrupted you I might add.

We can’t have this debate solely on economic grounds. There’s also the fundamental question of what it means to be American…and, by the way, it seems to me that many of our immigrants understand that issue better than some Americans, who take American culture for granted and thus don’t value what they’ve got. But, instead of protecting us, it seems our government has worked to thwart the preservation of American culture at every level. For example, the business of the nation, such as voting, should only be conducted in English. And what’s so wrong about a nation controlling its borders? Why do we have to fight for things that should be obvious, and why do we lose those fights? How do we get our national government to start acting like a national government instead of an enemy of the people?

That young lady was intimidated by your superior intellect Ms. Bruce.

  14. artgal says:

Tammy, there’s a point you made on Fox and on your show yesterday about Amnesty where I am in much disagreement with you. If O does indeed get Amnesty for all these illegals, there’s no way the 2010 elections are going to favor conservatives, as you suggested.

ACORN is already on the move and have been emboldened by the $5bn. in stimulus money to expand their efforts. They have already started job offers on Craigslist in Arizona, and I’m sure in other states. They are also promising to invade Arizona w/ The Sharpton Circus if Sheriff Joe does not leave his post the end of May. If they get their way, they will have a whole new voting population that will go for the Dems, and I am not confident at all that we will have half-way clean elections next year (or ever again) if this crap does indeed go through.

I suggest EVERYBODY start hounding their own senators plus Kyl and McCain of AZ on Amnesty. In fact, I want to know why Kyl & McCain are so damn quiet about the harassment of Sheriff Joe – a situation that is ONLY being brought up because people like Joe, who honor the law and enforce it, are being used as examples by the leftist gestapo so others will be scared into silence about reporting/arresting illegals.

Kyl and McCain are partly responsible for this crap because they wanted to shove it down our throats 2 years ago. Their silence is loud & clear.

So no – I don’t want to see Amnesty go through. Getting rid of it would be impossible and it will do great harm to our already burdened nation. The best thing we can do is fight against it harder than we did two years ago when we won the debate. That means we HAVE to get in the streets about it and be willing to stand up against it boldly.

The most productive & compassionate thing we could do is help the Mexican people take their country back, but that would actually solve this debate and not give congress or O the voting block they want.

  15. Shawmut says:

You made a good point that applies not just to Mexico, but to many other countries. “…Their country’s already in shambles….”
So, your estimate that the actual figure from Mexico would be about thirty-million is possibly even conservative.
Whether we consider the ‘womb-bombs’ (words of Ben Bella in France in the 60′s.) or not, we can project fairly well, the outcome.

Everybody has said what I thought except the highly intellectual observation that you made a point of NOT wearing black on Easter Sunday morning, and Ms. Smarmy did, which made sure viewers knew which person’s heart was in the right place.
