Pirate ships converge on US hostage at sea
For anyone who thinks the liberals really don’t mean us harm, take a look at Chuck Schumer and what he’s willing to say when he thinks only his base is listening. In a world where the UK just foiled an al-Qaida UK Easter bomb plot, Schumer declares the world of the hard-right’s “traditional values” and “strong national security” are over. Newsflash to Schumer: It’s not just the “hard right” that believes in those things, it’s all Americans.

I can’t understand why this man continues to be re-elected. Are New Yorkers clueless? This one of my biggest peeves about our current situation. How many times are we going keep re-electing these mini dictators? How long will this go on?
This guy is pond scum. The day this guy gets voted out, there should be a ticker tape parade.
Near the end of your pitch-in for Laura today, a caller asked what was being heard from the hostage’s Congressmen.
Well, with Leahy and Saunders in the Senate one can expect little. (It’s not a politically perfect situation.) As, you indicated, gay marriage might be overwhehlming the state. (There’s an issue that causes hearts to bleed.)
On the other hand, the Captain’s alma mater, Mass Maritime, or ‘New England’s Home of seamen’ is represented by Kerry, Kennedy, those ‘swashbuckling tars’ and a score of Democratic chorus boys led by high-kicker Barney-Buns. (Think “Pirates of Penzance”).
This is equal in outrage to the Teheran Embassy taking. Well, we have the same type of management format.
(Why doesn’t Moishe Obama just part the waters and march right out to the boat and pluck the captain free? He could even stop by Kenya and give his little brother a saw-buck for Easter.)
I’ve heard that many other hostage hostels are sending complimentary house gondolas of ‘detainees’ to the site of this recent episode. Maybe it’s the free food. I’m sure the US Navy has ‘halel’ to “Five Star”.
As we know the phrase “cater to” can be interpreted differently. (Must be Hell working on the 21st “Apologists’ Lexicon”, when depth of understanding has to be considered.
On the “gun thing” comments like the one above by Feinstein and earlier ones by Holder show that right now gun control simply is not the hill these people want to die on. The don’t even have to look at polls. All they have to look at is the very long lines outside gun shows made up mostly of people buying handguns “black rifles” and ammunition by the case.
Firearms retailers can’t keep ammunition in the more popular calibers in stock. Fortunately the pendulum has swung in favor of 2nd Ammendment supporters, at least for the time being.
One other thing about Schumer. He gets elected because his views, unfortunately, reflect those of the majority of his constituents.
“There’s always a potential for tragedy here, and when people feel their options are limited, they sometimes react in more unpredictable and violent ways,” Romano said.
This is why this should have been taken care of swiftly and immediately. And now there are more hostages…more bargaining chips for the pirates.
The longer Obambi fumbles with the legal technicalities of this “criminal†situation the more likely the pirates will start killing hostages. I believe Obambi needs to refer to the Constitution rather than a team of lawyers! The pirates have committed a series of felonies at see against the law of our nation!
They (the pirates) should be afraid! DUH

Dear Ms. Bruce, that was an excellent show Friday A.M. filling in for Laura…you motivated me to get involved. I’m having a visceral reaction to what this administration is doing in my name and like you said, each and every one of us has to actually do something to take our country back!!!Thanks for the great work!

Exactly like FFIGTREE said – this should have been taken care of decisively from the get go. Only Democrats fumble around with the “niceties” and “procedures” instead of TAKING ACTION.
If GOD FORBID, something happens to the Captain, I hold OBAMA responsible for NOT DOING ANYTHING and being more concerned about the ECONOMY (a problem that cannot be fixed in a matter of hours or days), then with the problem of one of his citizens being held hostage (a problem that can be taken care of in a matter of hours/days by the U.S. NAVY SEALS or whatever other special op group we have that does those things).
This is an absolute disgrace. He’s just as bad as, if not worse than Jimmy Carter.

First of all, we must secure our personnel with the message that this cannot happen again.
The above calls for nothing less than force. It’s all been said. I don’t need to add to the righteous outrage. It’s sickening.
But, now, years after being whipped by a group of yet-to-be toilet trained street thugs in Mogadishu, what has all the expertise in nation-building, AID, State Department and various other out-reach dance-thons won.
What should have been at the top of the list of lands that deserved to be slapped silly was Somalia.
Please, tell me. Someone must have seen the same risk I did of this land’s strategic threat to the shipping in the Indian Ocean Ocean, the Gulf of Suez… Tell me, please, that there were proposals for contingencies like this.
Please, tell me, someone was thinking.
Now, we’ve got a trained American wage-earner; the Captain, a member of a family, a voter, a citizen; a brother, cousin, father, son, uncle, neighbor; fellow ball-fan, church-goer… Got the picture?
Such a man is held hostage by people whose collective value times thousands aren’t worth one day of this man’s life.
