Just not in the way he expected. Here’s a tiny snippet of the latest from the British.
Barack Obama already less popular than Nixon or Carter? Quelle Surprise! (Not)
…Is Obama really worse than Carter or Nixon, though? To help readers make up their own minds and in the spirit of unity and Obama-style non-partisanship, I hereby offer a helpful pro and con guide to Obama: the First 100 Days.
CON:
1. Pantywaist, surrender-monkey, I-feel-your-pain, kowtowing to countries like Iran and Saudi Arabia means that America is no longer just hated in the Muslim world. Now, it is hated AND laughed at AND despised.
2. Swingeing green tax measures will destroy US industry, enrich Al Gore, delight Michael Moore while costing the average US family – in Cap and Trade alone – an extra $3,900 a year.
3. Returning Winston Churchill bust, snubbing British prime minister guarantees that never again will the United Kingdom ride the rescue of the US’s sorry ass next time there’s another Pearl Harbor.
Oh, it’s a long list. Please do read the whole thing, you won’t be disappointed :)
This list is sufficient but not complete.
When is the last time you can remember the
UK hating us?
As my Brit friend says, “Obama has lost the plot.
He can snog my arse.”
The world thought Mussolini was a great executive too. (And, remember, Italy was on the winning side in WWI.)
So, to my dear fellow citizens, congratulations in dreaming us into the new American Dictatorship; with official status for every mini-
grouping, hi-tech monitoring of your businesses and your lives; dormancy in the basic sovereignty, defense; innoculations for all, and ‘qualifying’ of freedoms with quantification of power in a one-party state.
But why tell you? We’re here.
However, do your country a favor. Vetting and reviewing our arguments (or as we may be ‘allowed’ to call them; alternate points of view {Careful, that Amazon at Homeland Securityis watching.) and discussions, will be very important. Avoid, if you can the picky-picky Hannity; citing the enemy, or the bombast of Limbaugh. That’s their style and, it’s fine for them, but it’s usually singing to their own choirs, and blame is usually to late. Formulate your positions for people who will think, and might think beyond. Place the points you want them to consider.
Your place in the dialogue is critical. Our sovereignty among nations is critical. Your sovereignty of one voice in a nation is critical.
I remember an old Boston rascal politician who used to remind me; “Take the job seriously while you have it. As to taking yourself too seriously in life: None of us are getting out alive.”
So, think it through and say it fearlessly and clearly. For now, it’s the job to take seriously.
