Already viral on the web, you must see this, or see it again and again.
While this is a segment from England’s “Britain’s Got Talent” show (which spawned American Idol) on April 11the overall message is an important one for all of us who feel the system is stacked against us. There is a point, especially when people may cynically mock and underestimate you, where standing up and having the courage to go forward is everything. So, whenever you feel the decked stacked against you personally, or in this topsy-turvy political world, let Susan Boyle be your role model.
Here’s more on the unknown singer becoming a remarkable sensation: Britain’s Got Talent church worker Susan Boyle becomes YouTube hit
Hey! I just saw this for the first time earlier today and posted it on my FB page. Susan Boyle rocks!
No two snowflakes are alike, and sometimes we get to see a special one. I’m so glad she wasn’t afraid to get out there, no matter what others thought of her. I’m in awe of her, and I’m in awe of God’s design.
I’m a self professed hard ass and this made ME cry. What a wonderful message this sends. It’s wonderful to feel so happy for someone who had the deck stacked against her. Beauty is as beauty does.
If you don’t think that Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs has totally jumped the shark and headed far-Left, then check out his take on the DHS “right-wing extremist” report, then compare that to Michelle Malkin’s and the author/attorneys at Powerline. According to Charles, they’re right-wing extremists.

Susan Boyle brought tears to my eyes. What a fantastic voice, and the guts to stand up on that stage and deliver such a gift to a mocking crowd. She certainly turned it around in less than a minute.
Click on my handle to see that I am an “extremist” – you may be one, too!
And I loved this video. Good for her! I do think the rise of MTV and video in general has made it so much more tough for actual musical talents to get widely noticed unless they have “the look”.
I love Simon’s facial expressions. You can tell she genuinely impressed him and moved him.
WOW!!!
Apparently she’s lived her own version of this. Ironically the theme will be turned inside-out for her!
“I Dreamed A Dream”
There was a time when men were kind
When their voices were soft
And their words inviting.
There was a time when love was blind
And the world was a song
And the song was exciting.
There was a time …then it all went wrong…
I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When hopes were high and life worth living,
I dreamed that love would never die
I dreamed that God would be forgiving.
Then I was young and unafraid,
When dreams were made and used and wasted.
There was no ransom to be paid,
No song unsung, no wine untasted.
But the tigers come at night,
With their voices soft as thunder,
As they tear your hope apart
As they turn your dreams to shame
He slept a summer by my side.
He filled my days with endless wonder,
He took my childhood in his stride,
But he was gone when autumn came.
And still I dream he’ll come to me
And we will live the years together!
But there are dreams that cannot be
And there are storms we cannot weather.
I had a dream my life would be
So different from this hell I’m living
So different now from what it seemed
Now life has killed the dream
I dreamed.
I’m gonna put my unofficial Tammy Village ombudsman hat on here….
Britain’s Got Talent actually spawned, “America’s Got Talent”.
It was UK show “Pop Idol” (which later became “X-factor”) that spawned American Idol.
The makers of all the above are pretty much the same entity in some form so therein lies the confusion.
Watched the video and it made me cry. This woman has the guts we all need. Beauty and true talent is not skin deep. However, I heard joe scarborough on KABC radio say that anyone watching this performance at breakfast time would be spitting out their cereal since Susan is so ugly. Unfortunately joe is the ugly one and Susan wins the hearts of many.
Stunning voice. Yes, weren’t we all chagrined when she walked out on stage, and belted out beautiful sounds? Shame on us for doubting. I, also, blubbered through it. You go, Susan!
Don’t be surprised when she discovers her own self discipline and the chin and chubbiness goes away and reveals the beauty beneath…how many gals have done just that and caused countless jaws to drop in amazement?
This reminded me of a clip I saw from the show Showtime at the Apollo. This dweeby white guy comes onstage during the amateur part of the show. The crowd’s getting ready to start booing him. All of a sudden he belts out Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On” and the crowd is with him then. I’m sure the Susan Boyle clip is more inspirational, however.
