Ah, how times have changed. Train with al-Qaida, get an all-expenses paid relocation to paradise.
Four of the Chinese Uighurs who trained with al-Qaida affiliates in Afghanistan have already been moved from Gitmo to the tourist mecca of Bermuda. This means 13 others will be sent the the South pacific island of Palua, also a tourist destination. The Urkel admin has announced they will give $200 million dollars to Palau (now presumably split between Palau and Bermuda) to help with the ‘relocation’ and assimilation of the terrorists. You should be happy to know that amounts to almost $12 million dollars per terrorist in tax payer money. Just a little something to reflect on as you make your 4th of July tea party plans.
Bermuda’s premiere, in the meantime, is trying to explain why he thinks it’s a good idea to bring 4 al-Qaida trained Islamists to their island.
Bermuda’s Premier Explains Uighurs In Their Midst
The Premier of Bermuda, Dr. the Hon. Ewart F. Brown, JP, MP, just released a statement on the four Uighur detainees resettled in Bermuda today.
Brown refers to the “infamous prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba,” saying of ‘the prisoners held there many are innocent men, held without trial or any form of due process; many are refugees from their own lands whose political views are contrary to the regimes in power there. They have committed no crime. They have laid no plans to harm innocent citizens of any nation, but have been caught in a web of reaction to tragic events which at the time of their happening were not well understood.
Gee, so they’re victims who were in the wrong place at the wrong time and had no clue what was happening. Like when they decided to get trained in terrorist tactics by an al-Qaida cell in Afghanistan when in fact they thought, maybe, they were training to become Starbucks baristas?
Bermuda, btw, is British territory. The terrorists will be part of the island’s “guest worker” program. Considering their reaction to women with bare arms on television while in Gitmo, I’m gonna guess they won’t be working at any of the pools.

Funny, Urkel seems so perfectly comfortably grabbing his ankles for the Islamist enemy like Saudi Arabia but goes out of his way to slap a nation like the UK. Bottom line: Urkel didn’t check with the UK before making a deal to send Islamist terrorists to the UK’s Bermuda.
Foreign Office fury over settlement of Guantánamo Uighurs in Bermuda
The British Government responded with ill-disguised fury tonight to the news that four Chinese Uighurs freed from Guantanamo Bay had been flown for resettlement on the Atlantic tourist paradise of Bermuda…But it appears that the Government of Bermuda failed to consult with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on the decision to take in the Uighurs – whose return is demanded by Beijing – and it could now be forced to send them back to Cuba or risk a grave diplomatic crisis.
$12 million each? I’d have done it for $9 mil!
If Gitmo was a recruiting tool for Al Quida this will really have muslims joining in droves “Join Al Quida, kill innocent people then live the rest of your life in Bermuda with all expenses paid by your enemy” This stunt makes America the laughing stock of the world.
