Yes, it’s finally here. Today, Saturday June 6, the independent Tammy Radio Weekend Show launches. I can’t tell you how thrilled I am and want to thank you all for your support and loyalty.
Here are the details. First, the show’s airtime has changed. It will air live a little earlier, from 12pm-2pm pt (3pm-5pm et), and you have two ways to listen, either live at Talk Stream Live, our preferred web stream hub, and/or you can play/download the podcast from this blog about an hour after the show ends.
The player that will come up at TSL will be different from the player you’re used to if that’s been your preferred method of listening. Now you will get the Windows Media Player. If you listen via PC, the player will pop right up, but if you’re on a Mac you’ll need a special plug in called Flip4Mac which you can download here. All you need is the free version.
If you’re hooking in live, the player will only work when I’m on the air. If you connect early, you’ll get an error comment, just ignore it, and refresh when it’s show time. It should start playing automatically.

Will “tune in” by launching Windows Media Player from Internet Explorer off my Windows Mobile Smartphone (it has turned into my very own walkman). I plug regular earphones into my cellphone and voila, Tammy on the go!
One suggestion:
Some of us record the stream with an automatic scheduler (thanks to Maynard’s post on TotalRecorder from awhile back).
It would be handy if the stream starts a few minutes before the ‘live’ broadcast…even if the stream is just dead air or a loop of “stay tuned for the Tammy Bruce show” or maybe “SHAMWOW! SLAPCHOP!”.
Otherwise the recorder will get the error message and disconnect.
Probably not that big a deal since we can d/l the podcast but if not too much trouble we’d appreciate it :)

I’m having a difficult time getting on. I’m in Chicago, so I would listen from 2-4. However, I keep getting an error message whenever I hit Tammy Bruce on Talk Stream Live!!
No problems here! The sound quality is so much better- in fact when you pause for a few seconds I start to think the stream dropped- I’m used to hearing feedback in the background. Unless you need to- avoid taking predictable hard breaks- Tammy unpredictable and full throttle is fabulous!
