Tammy Bruce Special Report: Obama DeathCare

by Tammy on July 17, 2009 · 9 comments

My second Tammy Bruce Special Report, a mini-podcast focusing in depth on one subject from the Independent Conservative perspective, has posted. Today’s subject: Obama’s DeathCare.

I have some special audio for you with this as well–audio from Ronald Reagan in 1961 warning about the liberal/socialist agenda and its use of healthcare as a way to further its socialist agenda. With the addition of President Reagan’s 10-minute commentary this mini-podcast and so much news attached to Urkel’s socialized health care monstrosity, this special podcast is about one hour in length.

This podcast is exclusive United States of Tammy media, and available only to the Tammy Army. If you are a regular subscriber and would like to access this special media, I invite you to join the US of Tammy as a paid member of the Tammy Army. Another very compelling broadcast. I have to say, the health care plan scares me more than anything else. It will be very hard to roll it back, and I have no confidence that a one-size-fits-all medical system is going to have a place for me in it.

Tammy,
Thank you for dedicating an entire mini-podcast to this most important subject – the integrity and quality of the American Healthcare System. As I waited in anticipation of this podcast, I was listening to Laura Ingraham’s broadcast for today (also a thank you to Laura Ingraham for sharing her microphone with you on occasion over the years – that’s how I found my path to Tammydom). Here’s a visual cautionary tale that was swirling around in my head as I listened…
ObamaCare = Logan’s Run with commentary from by Laura Ingraham from her broadcast today.

Tammy paints a picture that’s as chilling as it is compelling. I wish she was wrong, but I’m afraid she’s got it right. You need to hear this.

I admit that, with respect to the suicidal policies emerging from Washington, I do feel frustrated. It takes much more time for me to prepare a thoughtful letter to my representatives than it does for one of my representative’s interns to send me a canned response and trash my note. Are we doomed to be ignored until we start tarring and feathering our representatives?

Of course the people voting on this will never have to actually use it as they will make sure they are exempt.

I do have a question though.
Say this passes and becomes law. Right now when people from Mexico or Canada need real health care, they come to the USA. Once our system is nationalized…where will we go?
Note that this doesn’t apply to George Soros and his crowd as they will either be exempt or simply be able to buy their way into care none of the rest of us can afford.

Since [d]Ear Leader won’t get these tender and adoring gazes from Madame Michelle deFarge. [Well, to be fair, at least not in public]:

He just might hope to get them from the entire American people instead by getting his DeathCare passed…He thinks….

You’re right, Tammy. One day we’ll know why this man is destro…oh..excuse me…transforming the country. And it ain’t simply because Alinsky and Soros made him do it.

I dread the idea of living in a future where the government is the chief decision maker in my personal health decisions. Aren’t I echoing the same argument made by the pro-choice movement, that the choices regarding pregnancy were between a woman and her doctor, and the government should butt out? It would be ironic if, after health care is nationalized, a pro-life government rises to power and shuts down all the abortion clinics and there’s nothing anybody can do about it, because it’s illegal for anyone but the government to offer health services and the government refuses to offer this service.

Excellent podcast, Tammy. I, too, hope Sarah Palin takes health care on as her next issue. It’s disgusting that no Republican has had the manhood to speak up and articulate opposition to this mess. President Reagan’s words were so simple and understandable, but yet so stunningly prescient. There is no Republican on the national scene who is worthy of standing even in his shadow, although Sarah Palin is certainly making her case. Time will tell.

Great job Tammy! Thanks for the special podcast! 2 hours per week of Tammy is not enough!
Things are starting to look dim but you are right we cannot let up calling our legislators. I dont care what they say or what bill they finally sign, they want a way in even if it looks innoculous to then make changes (as they do with all government programs and they way tax and kill will work). Private companies cannot compete with the government. They must make a profit AND pay taxes. We know the government plan will NOT be funded properly and underpriced, using taxpayer money to make up the difference. Obama’s strawman of giving private companies some competition (1300 companies isnt enough). Thank you for pointing out page 16 of the healthcare bill, not allowing private companies to bring in new members after the public option is offered. Now THAT’S COMPETITION! Why doesnt the government get into the cable tv business to keep costs down and allow all citizens (oops, Americans) to have a public cable tv option? Some cable plans cost more than a stripped down health plan for younger Americans. Then as people leave a cable operator, they can go to the public option since they cannot go to a private cable operator. Lets call it Obamavision! (I hope I am only joking!)
