Agreed - the amount and types of physicians that will be caring for Americans in the future is of paramount significance to the current health care debate. Nationalized health care, by it's very nature, will cause the adage "Mom wanted me to be a doctor" to fall from our cultural vernacular. Capitalism is an essential ingredient in the equation if the sum of the parts equals high quality. Check out this Occupational Outlook synopsis from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and honestly scrutinize how many young people will be willing to take this plunge for altruistic reasons alone?

Awesome, Tammy. I'd heard this on the podcast and just linked to the YouTube video on my FB page as well. Very timely. What a great, no BS speaker he was. No doublespeak by Reagan.

The bottom line is there are not enough doctors in U.S. to cover 304 million people. It takes at least 12 years to study medicine. Have you noticed the lack of women in the field of Plastic Surgery? It is because you are 40 years old when you finish your residency. They do not want to give up a family life. Presently, there are 800,000 doctors. Out of those, perhaps 400,000 primary care physicians. Good luck getting an appointment within 6 months if Obamacare passes. If you have a serious illness, death may come sooner than your appointment. No one is discussing the shortage of doctors in congress. The average age of a surgeon in the U.S. is 58. People are not choosing surgical specialties, because of high malpractice costs and the hours. Young doctors are choosing fields that do not interfere with their family lives, and will not want to take on additional patients for this plan. They want to go home at 5:00 P.M.

i live in the only state where the blueprint for this plan is the law- and it's an unmitigated disaster- the freakin' 10 trillion pound dumpster filled with elephants in the 'ho houses of congress with these bills. near the same ' reform', including mandate( although with a religious exemption which i take and is not included in the federal version -a violation of our right to freedom of religion on top of everything else), is bringing MA to the brink of Cali like financial disaster and it DOES NOT WORK. poor and middle class people are disproportionately effected and their care specifically is being rationed and denied by their inability to pay the high deductibles on their supposedly life saving new shiny insurance plans. hospitals serving the poor are being steam rolled into red ink. everything it was suppose to accomplish- lowering insurance and health care prices and offering more patient/insurance choices, providing universal coverage and driving costs down across the board- has not happened. in fact ,the opposite has on every single count . the only ones to benefit have been insurance companies. it's a recipe for destroying our health care system not ' reforming' it and i think too that the truth is that's the whole point.

it brings up serious questions of mitt romney- he signed the abomination into law and it's already starting to literally threaten people's lives.

you have to dig desperately to find any honest reporting even within the state on how unsuccessful and unsustainable it is- although more and more recently is coming out. remember - de-evolve patrick is the obama mini me- same campaign to office, same lack of any real experience for the office, same aura of being personably likable that makes liberal whites swoon and think themselves civil rights champions and saints for voting for him. he axed both specific types of insurance coverage for the poor and subsidies to LEGAL aliens recently, quietly, to try and keep the reform afloat and make budget. you heard nary a peep about it. then he raised the sales tax- further kicking the local economy in the ass when it's already down.

it's shameful to the commonwealth- where it all began for a free, democratic USA- and it's people that both the health care bills and cap and trade were authored with the help of our federal representatives .

people need to know this is happening now- the proof in the pudding as it were- obamacare is basically in action and flopping in massachusetts and everyone needs to ram that in their own congress people's smug pusses. the federal plan IS the MA plan with even more free market destroying and rights violating icing on top-why are we even considering it?

Great talk on deathcare, Tammy. It really helps to get me going in contacting my legislators because we DO all get tired, we DO want not to bother--but we will anyway, thanks to you.

I think its marvelous how you can speak for an hour straight without scarcely a pause. Not only do you get my head really focussed on the issue by doing so (your train of thought becomes ours) but you also offer three or four different approaches to choose from in how we protest.

And so another happy camper says thank and good night in the United States of Tammy.

A brilliant synopsis on Obama Death Care and what will ultimately happen to our country and it's people if this piece of legislation passes. The historical perspective makes this particular Tammy Special Report about socialized medicine and what it does to to promote an absolute socialist nation is so important that you should make it public. The message is too important - "I'm just sayin". Congratulations, Tammy a great work.

Thanks Tammy,

Your podcasts help me to set priorities for attacking the fools on the hill.
I will do my best to spread the word about The United States Of Tammy so that I dont have to listen and then go disimenate your information to all of the groups that I belong to that are either just waking up, or just catching up, or those who have caught up and are still asking, What Do I Do, well Duh!!.
Stop waiting for me to tell you what I learn and get it straight from someone who has "been there and done that"
I swear, sometimes I feel like I need to pull this car over and come back there.
Keep on rockin me Tammy.

Tammy,
Not only does your breadth of knowledge not go unnoticed but continues to surprise. That combined with your willingness to search for and and obtain information and your passion makes you a very dangerous woman. I sure am glad you are on our side. Very compelling podcast and the Reagan recording, ...what can I say. Change a few names and phrases and it would be right on time again today.
