This Is Why I Love Us
by Tammy on August 23, 2009And why I am honored, and grateful, to be an American. The following is video of a Marine confronting Rep. Brian Baird (D-WA) who compared Townhall Patriots of “brown shirt tactics” and compared them to a “lynch mob.” He eventually apologized, but here he learned who makes this country great, strong, and free, and it’s not politicians.

Okay, I will give you a sampling of one more piece of evidence that the results of November 4th were indeed an error of epic proportions.

Tammy Radio a “Best Of” Today
by Tammy on August 21, 2009Just FYI, the live stream of Tammy Radio will be a “Best Of” but I will have a new 2-hour podcast late this afternoon for Tammy Army members. Have a great Friday everyone and I’ll see you later today :) UPDATE 11:30pm PT: I just returned home after an unexpectedly long, but good, day. ObamaCare Explained
by Maynard on August 21, 2009A post by Maynard What was that Obama said about Washington in this Drudge-linked article? Ah, yes, that these are the days that “everybody gets wee weed up”. Which just goes to show what happens when our Commander in Chief strays from his beloved teleprompter. Anyway, Mr. Obama’s unfortunate metaphor provides an excuse to exhibit this tasteless graphic, which will clarify the impact of ObamaCare with respect to people who are already reasonably satisfied with their situation (which is most of us). Intellectual honesty compels me to concede there are a few unfortunate citizens (and non-citizens) at the low end of the scale for whom the president’s glittering cascade would represent progress. And of course there’s the “tingling down my...

Shots from the Show 8-20-09
by Tammy on August 20, 2009Today post pic and link because a lot of the news, today, unfortunately reinforces how the death of right and wrong must still be confronted and reversed. Here’s the BBC interview with the leader of Greenpeace as he admits to “emotionalizing” the climate change debate to further their agenda.(HT Hot Air)

Lockerbie Bomber Released
by Tammy on August 20, 2009This murderer of 270 people, mostly Americans, has been released on ‘compassionate’ grounds because he has cancer. In a world with no moral leadership, and certainly none from American so-called leadership, the death of right and wrong marches on. Victims’ Families Decry Release of Lockerbie Bomber The families of the victims of the 1988 Lockerbie bombing decried the decision to release the Libyan terrorist convicted of killing 270 people, calling it one of the most “heartbreaking” injustices the world has ever seen. Scotland’s justice minister announced Thursday that Abdel Baset al-Megrahi — the sole person convicted in the December 1988 midair bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 — will be freed from a Scottish prison on compassionate grounds. Justice Secretary...

The Political Strategy of the Broken Clock
by Maynard on August 20, 2009A post by Maynard This note will shed light on a basic trick used by just about all politicians, both left and right. The tactic relies upon two points: It’s an old cliché that a clock that loses a minute each hour is almost always wrong, wheras a broken clock is right twice a day. But which one is of more practical use? The human heart is deceptive. Whatever the current trend is, it feels like it will continue forever. When things are getting worse, they feel like they’ll never get better. Likewise, good times feel like they’ll never end. Intellectually, we know the world is dynamic, and trends come and go. But we don’t really believe it. So the...

Shots from the Show 8/19
by Tammy on August 19, 2009Caroline Baum: Obama Goes Postal, Lands in Dead-Letter Office Impromptu Obamanomics is getting scarier by the day. For all the president’s touted intelligence, his un-teleprompted comments reveal a basic misunderstanding of capitalist principles…The public is left with one of two unsettling conclusions: Either the president doesn’t understand the health-insurance reform plans working their way through Congress, or he understands both the plans and the implications and is being untruthful about the impact.
