Scotland Considers Freeing Lockerbie Bomber Early
by Tammy on August 13, 2009Why? Because he’s ‘sick.’ Hey, I have an idea that’ll cure him–let’s put him on a plane and blow it up in the middle of the sky. Scottish officials said Thursday they were considering early release for the Lockerbie bomber — leading to sharp debate among victims’ relatives in the U.S. and Britain over whether he should be allowed to return home to Libya. British media reports say Abdel Baset Ali al-Megrahi will soon be freed on compassionate grounds because he is terminally ill with cancer. The possibility of an imminent release has reignited the fierce debate about whether justice has been done for victims of the attack that killed 270 people — most of them Americans. And the death...

Kids! Turn in your Parents!
by Maynard on August 11, 2009A flashback by Maynard There’s precedent for Mr. Obama’s renounce-your-political-opponents (flag@whitehouse.gov) campaign. When Janet Reno was Bill Clinton’s Attorney General, look at what showed up on the “For Kids” section of the Justice Department website. This copy is exactly as it appeared on the government page; emphasis has been added to highlight the point that, yes, Reno really did urge kids to suspect their parents of racism and turn them in for telling questionable jokes. By way of contrast, try to imagine the firestorm that would have ensued if kids were urged to report their parents for criminal activity or terrorism or really serious stuff. That level of invasiveness was only permitted to left-wingers for the purpose of intimidation in...

Obama Zombie Kitteh…
by Tammy on August 11, 2009Even poor Obama Zombie Kitteh realizes that something has gone terribly wrong. That Portsmouth, NH “townhall” on DeathCare? Just another campaign rally, stuffed with Obama campaign staff, workers and supporters. Just another lie on another day.

Hillary’s Meltdown
by Tammy on August 11, 2009I have a feeling some Hillary Voters out there are now grateful they can identify as Palin Democrats. I know most of you will just shake your head at this, but I have to say with all the freakish messes she’s gotten herself into, I’m still disappointed when I see Hillary illustrate the fact that she does not have the temperament to be president nor the good sense to hold any sort of office with consequence. After this display of bizarre irritation at a student in Congo, who was translated incorrectly, you will never hear again from me how she needs to resign or run for higher office. Sheesh. Lost in Translation: Clinton Says She, Not Bill, is the Secretary...

What Britain Needs Is An Iron Supplement
by Pat_S on August 11, 2009A post by Pat This England never did, nor never shall, Lie at the proud foot of a conqueror. —- Shakespeare Alas, today they will curl up anywhere for a nap. Britain has been conquered by fast food and Internet shopping. In a recent survey 73 percent said they had too little energy for sex. Just as well since two-thirds are too tired to play with their children. The Brits need more exercise the experts say. How does this happen in a land with socialized health care? Too Tired Brits? Poll Finds 73 Percent Have No Energy for Sex A report meant to highlight the health concerns prompted by rising obesity levels has found that almost three-quarters of the people...

Money Talks, Liberty Shouts
by Pat_S on August 8, 2009A post by Pat Dick Durbin and others claimed insurance companies and “people like them” were behind the townhall protests. This was to discredit the angry turnout as manufactured and counterfeit. Today the drug industry announced they are spending $150 million for TV ads to back the White House healthcare plan. Taking the ‘manufactured’ charge at face value, insurance companies are contemptible for acting in their corporate interest, but not drug companies. (Not today anyway.) Shouts of individual Americans who go to townhall meetings are to be silenced while slick big government propaganda may intrude into our homes. Drugmakers ready $150 million for Obama plan U.S. drugmakers stand ready to spend $150 million to help President Barack Obama overhaul health...
