I've had my concealed permit for a year now, and have a S&W compact 9mm named Spike. Spike and I enjoy our visits to the range, and we are working on an NRA marksmanship program through the Women's Outdoor Sports Association I belong to. Those gun totin' librarians. . .

If gun crime is truly an issue with our lawmakers, they would figure out a way to deal with the black market dealers who sell illegal weapons in dark parking lots at midnight. That is the danger to society, not the legal firearm owner who has legally purchased and registered the firearm. I'd have to be a flippin' idiot to use Spike for something illegal since I purchased him from a legal firearm store, and duly registered him. God and everybody (as my sainted mother used to say) knows I have him. It'd take a halfway decent cop all of 10 minutes to find me if I did anything illegal using Spike. No, the lawmakers just prey on the legal firearm owner because it's easier than dealing with the real problem--then they get to say "look what we did! Are we not proactive to just nip this problem in the bud?"

I know. . .preaching to the choir. . .

I bought a new one (Glock 17RTF2 9mm) Saturday, went to the range today and happy to report no jam and very accurate at both 20 and 25 yards. The speed loader is nice also.

Democrat Socialist Party influence.
ALL THE GUN SHOPS ARE SHUTTERED AND BARRED *CLOSED*.

Everyone here still has guns .
The Second Amendment is a Natural Right..just a thought....

If anyone reading hasn't already done so, anyone who chooses to own a gun should learn how to reload ammo (take your fired brass cartridges and re-prepare them to become a live rounds again by re-assembling the cartridge components of primer, bullet, and powder according to specifications) and keep a stockpile of needed components handy. Also one should buy guns they feel comfortable with repairing-I like Glocks for that reason; revolvers, on the other hand, are simpler for a new shooter to master, but if shot a lot for competition, you will be at the mercy of a gun company to repair it since most of the component parts of revolvers require company technicians to fix them-and very few gunsmiths keep the tools handy to say straighten out a bent ejector rod...
