Angry activists gathered outside a Richmond, Virginia strip club decrying abomination! and sounding alarm over the deteriorating standards in America. Prudish church ladies? No. It was the NAACP. The self-described libertarian owner of Club Velvet, Mr. Samuel J.T. Moore III, had unfurled an Obama as The Joker banner outside his building.
“This country is going to hell in a handbag,“ Moore said, “and the current administration is making things irreversibly worse.“
Mr. Moore is not the ideal champion of liberty.
Moore’s club is awaiting a state Alcoholic Beverage Control hearing on alleged violations. Earlier this year Moore was convicted of three misdemeanor charges related to having sex with a minor and another woman at his apartment in the club, and filming it illegally.
The bold Mr. Moore sent one of his “dancers”, Kaitlyn McGee, out to read a statement.
“Mr. Moore would like to say that anyone who believes that his banner is racist is an ignoramus.”
The ignoramuses from the NAACP said–
“…the Joker banner was typical of what they called escalating attacks on the president – from depictions of Obama as Hitler at rallies to South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson’s “You lie!” outburst during Obama’s recent nationally televised address to Congress.”
“Racism is as American as apple pie,” Khalfani [King Salim Khalfani, president of the Virginia NAACP] said. “The presence of a president that as African blood is very, very troublesome to many in this country.”
Speaking for herself, waitress and dancer McGee said–
“As far as I’m concerned, it doesn’t really bother me,” she said. “You could say a lot worse things about him.”
It isn’t clear from the reporting to which man she is referring. You could say that about either. In fact, I think it is a neat response to the race card. Just imagine the reaction.
There are an array of jokers in this mix at implausibly named Shockoe Bottom, but the assault on free speech is no laughing matter. No situation is too small—or too ludicrous—for the enemies of liberty.

Thanks for posting this article, Pat. It reminded me that I still have a few Obama Joker posters remaining that need to be posted. It’ll give me something to do over the weekend besides listen to Tammy.
Ha ha, I love it ! I live in Richmond and this is in the perfect place, coming off the Franklin exit from I-95 it is up close and in your face. King Slime Khalfani I’m sure would have no problem if it were an effigy of a hanging George Bush there instead of the Joker image. I’ve written Khalfani and gave him a piece of my pie…errr, I meant my mind.
If the NAACP wanted to go after something, why not the sexual offenses committed by the bar owner? I would be behind the NAACP all the way if they were going after something legitimately wrong here, but no – they want to create hysteria over the poster displaying the very same joker face on Obama that was put on Bush – and created by a leftist of middle-eastern descent.
So, let’s give King Salami some perspective, ok?

If the liberals continue to have their way? Fahrenhiet 451! Nothing published or spoken that does not have the seal of approval from the Bureau of Conformity and Unification of Literature ( see fairness act and all of its mutations) will be burned… oops I meant cleansed. You know what’s strange, some of these movies and books were made to express concerns over conservative facism and censure, yet here we are and its NOT the bible thumping moral majority practicing facist censorship! It’s your govermnet backed agencies, organizations, coalitions, etc… . It’s so called minority rights activists trying to put down any form of equality, well only if it’s equality that benefits minorities (see ACORN). BTW I made up that bureau, I can’t find my copy of 451 to see what it was called in the book. Sniff…. Sniff …. hey is that smoke?! Hey what are you Liberals doing with my library…………
Why did the liberal media assume this crowd was protesting that Obama/Joker banner? At Club Velvet, it’s pretty typical to hear the chant of “Take it off! Take it off!”
If the socialists can’t stand the heat, they best get out of the kitchen. But they are addicted to their recipe of sensations and fleeting satisfactions. Sadly however once their meal is digested, it usually ends up with heartburn.
