Tammy reported that there is little hard news today on the call by Illinois Rep. Mark Kirk To Obama: Withdraw Grants To Libyan Charities, run by the Gaddafi? Kaddafi? Qadhafi? family. She tested a Google “news” search which came up with a few paltry results when pressed with keywords such as Kirk, Libya, Charity, Obama or various related combinations. A general web search shows that despite the sparse reporting by hard news sources, the word is out. Funny how that happens these days.

Oh, BTW, Newsweek reports State Department Backs Off Grants to Kaddafi’s Kids "after getting complaints from Congress─and an inquiry from NEWSWEEK". Right.

Is it, per chance time, instead of bailing out the print news, just sell it as something new and fresh; like update the name for example. Change “Newsweek” to “Newspeak”. Wam, bam, thank you ma’am.

My God, can CNN get a better camera for God’s sake!? You are in Pittsburgh, not flippin’ Rhodesia or somewhere. Cheap skates! Wolf Blitzer, what an idiot saying “what is that?”.

    Tammy:

Do “THEY” really think we are stupid enough to believe that with all the satellites circling the Earth, not one. single. country. Knew about Iran’s nuke plant before now? I mean Please. I know I’m just a stupid redneck in fly-over country with a KA pager and a white tea bag hood who is a mind-numbed robot from listening to talk radio; but this really takes the cake. I didn’t participate in a violent hate-filled racist littering 9.12 protest for THIS!

But seriously, WTF? Please enlighten us.

Re: no-pay-for-insurance-go-to-jail-free card: Say, I thought the jails were too full, ‘n stuff? I thought the news said various municipalities were having to uh, let’s see now what was that, oh yes – let criminals OUT because there wasn’t enough room and not enough money to run the jails. Howz that again? And um, I could be mistaken, but weren’t there stories about the killers currently still at GitMo were receiving A1 health care, A1 religious sensitive diets, reading materials and so forth? How about the killers sent to Palou (sp?) and got condos ‘n stuff? Are they still considered to be “in jail” for their acts of Jihad and murder? That’s weird. Huh, so let’s see if I get this right: I don’t pay the tax, oh sorry, “fee” for NOT buying the crap-hole death care and they throw me in jail and take my house and stuff cuz I won’t be able to work to pay my mortgage. Do I then get the health care and all the perks for “free”? Yes, yes, nothing is free – I suppose I’ve paid for it then, by them taking my house. But, back to the limited, or lack of jail space. How does one square that process? Who believes if the millions of people who can’t currently afford health insurance, will be able to afford the “fee” to stay out of jail? Where then, does one put all these criminals who can’t (or WON’T) purchase death care? I’m sure there is something that I simply missed on this grand plan?

in tyrannies- like nazi germany and the soviet union- the real criminals were either executed or used as shock troops to terrorize the population into submission. in tyrannies, jails and concentration camps are used to control those who will not comply to the dictates of the state- not to those who have violated the civil rights and property rights of other individuals. when there is no personal property and no bill of individual rights the only crimes ARE those against the state.

so this is a shock tactic- 2 million of you don’t want death care. ok we’ll keep pushing it through and send you to jail if you do not comply- because we can.

that the republican ladies who lunch are knitting doilies or canning preserves( aka as members of congress) instead of screaming about this shows you how f’d they are. it shows the health care push for what it is- the dismantling of individual rights aka the constitution.
