Now, thanks to a bipartisan collaboration between Obama and Joe Wilson, there’s a flurry of “YOU LIE!” paraphernalia. It seems that, in spite of Obama’s best efforts to crush it, the American entrepreneurial spirit lives on.

Just watched an interview by Chris Wallace (whom I USED to respect) hammering Joe Wilson on his comment on the floor. The basic jist was: are you sure, super-sure, super-duper sure, super-de-duperde-sure you don’t feel you should make an apology to the House? Joe stood firm. “I’ve apologized – ONE time”. Chis kept on brow-beating him….”well, you know if you don’t offer the apology, you’re going to have to stand in the well of the house and be reprimanded by Speaker Pelosi – aren’t you scared” (he didn’t use ‘scared’…but that’s the implication.). Then the grand finale, Wallace commented on a piece written by Maureen Dowd – Maureen Dowd for the love of pete!! She evidently wrote (I won’t waste my time reading any of the crap that comes from her type type type) that Wilson called out “You Lie” to the Once because he’s black! Because he’s BLACK! WTF!? What an a-hole, Wallace.
Anyway – at the end of the interview, Wallace played the clip of the speech where Joe spoke truth to power and then the camera came back to the set and he asked “now how does that make you feel” – in a demeaning, patrionizing way. Geez-louise, what an a-hole, but I repeat myself.
I hope Wilison is spending between now and whenever Crazy-eyes Pelosi has her moment in the spotlight, in order to come up with some kind of awesome, jaw-dropping (but civil of course, we wouldn’t want to be accused of being “rabble-rouzers” now would we) response.
Maybe I’m a simpleton on matters such as these, but the dress down by Pelosi (PELOSI for God’s sake), why would ANYbody care about that!? She’s as dumb as a box of rocks and nobody who loves this country respects that piece of navel lint. I must’ve missed this issue in civics class.
I hope he stands with his head held high and maybe just says somthing like, I dunno – “how come no one was censored during Bush’s speech in ’05?” Or maybe this:, “It’s too bad my comment has caused such a roucous when my intent was to merely to point out that I was RIGHT (see page “x” of HB 3200). I know this of course, because I served on that Committee under the Ways and Means and four amendments put forth by the Republicans to require proof of citizenship in order to participate in the death care plan were voted down by the dems. So…you see Ms. Pelosi, I knew there were no provisions in the bill to enforce someone to provide proof of idenity. If there was no such provision, what’s stopping someone who is here illegally from accesssing the plan? And since on Friday, this past, a provision was added for such a stop gap requirement – it seems to me that sort of proves my point. No?”
