During the 2000 elections, I took a quickie Internet survey to see which of the candidates (Bush, Cheney, Gore, or Lieberman) I had most in common with politically. I matched Cheney 90% and was most incompatible with Lieberman, at just 5%. I laugh whenever I think of that now because as I still adore Cheney and everything he stands for, I've developed so much respect for Joe Lieberman. It's important for me to see that a politician I disagree with so fundamentally can show himself to be true blue. Lieberman has shown himself to be one of the most honest and true individuals and one who is above politics. No matter my disagreements with him, he has my eternal respect for showing such courage. Go Joe! You have my support all the way.

It sounds to me like the Army doesn't want any questions asked about how they could promote a terrorist to Major. They don't want anyone to see how political correctness gets people killed. I mean, it could cost someone their job or promotion! /sarc

Senator Lieberman's call for an investigation into that monster's killing spree at Fort Hood is an embarrassment to Obama plain and simple. An investigation would mean that Obama would have to clarify the disgusting whopper he told at Cairo University earlier this: "I know, too, that Islam has always [Always? Always? Mmmmmm kay-ay] been a part of America’s story. The first nation to recognize my country was Morocco."

Obama was referring to the Treaty of Tripoli of 1796. A simple search would lead to the fact that the good will the new US declared toward Muslims was in vain. The Muslims showed aggression against our new nation that would culminate in the Barbary Wars.

I read a letter sent to a Marine's blog in light of the massacre at Fort Hood that hits the nail nicely on the head when it comes to Obama's gross distortion of history. Here it is:

Obama said in his Cairo speech: "I know, too, that Islam has always been a part of America's story.

Dear Mr. Obama:

Were those Muslims that were in America when the Pilgrims first landed? Funny, I thought they were Native American Indians.

Were those Muslims that celebrated the first Thanksgiving day? Sorry again, those were Pilgrims and Native American Indians.

Can you show me one Muslim signature on the United States Constitution?...Declaration of Independence?...Bill of Rights?...Didn't think so.

Did Muslims fight for this country's freedom from England? No.

Did Muslims fight during the Civil War to free the slaves in America? No, they did not. In fact, Muslims to this day are still the largest traffickers in human slavery. [My emphasis] Your own 'half brother' a devout Muslim still advocates slavery himself, even though muslims of Arabic descent refer to black muslims as "pug nosed slaves." Says a lot of what the Muslim world really thinks of your family's "rich Islamic heritage" doesn't it Mr.Obama?

Where were Muslims during the Civil Rights era of this country? Not present. There are no pictures or media accounts of Muslims walking side by side with Martin Luther King Jr.. or helping to advance the cause of Civil Rights.

Where were Muslims during this country's Woman's Suffrage era? Again, not present. In fact, devout Muslims demand that women are subservient to men in the Islamic culture. So much so that often they are beaten for not wearing the 'hajib' or for talking to a man that is not a direct family member or their husband. Yep, the Muslims are all for women's rights aren't they?

Where were Muslims during World War II? They were aligned with Adolf Hitler. The Muslim grand mufti himself met with Adolf Hitler, reviewed the troops and accepted support from the Nazi's in killing Jews.

Finally Mr. Obama, where were Muslims on Sept. 11th, 2001? If they weren't flying planes into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, or a field in Pennsylvania, killing nearly 3,000 people on our own soil, they were rejoicing in the Middle East. No one can dispute the pictures shown from all parts of the Muslim world celebrating on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and other news networks that day. Strangely, the very "moderate" Muslims who's asses you bent over backwards to kiss in Cairo, Egypt on June 4th, were stone cold silent post 9-11. To many Americans, their silence has meant approval for the acts of that day.

And THAT, Mr. Obama, is the "rich heritage" Muslims have here in America.

And now we can add November 5, 2009.

Time to call our Senators and tell them to back Senator Lieberman in his effort. Or, quite literally, political correctness will kill even more innocents.

The Feds should wake up and pay attention to people like him who give plenty of signs beforehand that they are struggling with their loyalties. This is the new face of terrorism in America. And the governmental agencies that should be protecting us instead of having their heads up their butts should be looking into our terrorist termites. These ticking time bombs have burrowed into our society and will go off seemingly unpredictably unless the Feds stop their politically correct thinking. Our soldiers died because we were afraid to offend the enemy.

As a military retiree, I'm curious why, an installation with two line divisions as tenant units, had to request assistance from and deploy civilian police forces to put down one man with two pistols. Unbelievable, are there no MP's in today's Army.. or has that been outsourced too?

We just had our first terrorist attack since 2001 on the very post that for the most part, a deployment post, not one word from the Democrat party leadership.

But wait, Obama did laugh about it on Thursday.

Does that count for leadership?

Now the majority of the Democrat party and one Republican member voted for:

• AMERICAN PEOPLE TO LOSE THEIR JOBS

• SIGNIFICATE HIGHER TAXES

• DECREASED HEALTH CARE COVERAGE

• FEDERALLY AUTHORIZED HEALTH CARE COVERAGE FOR ALL ILLEGAL ALIENS (forget county hospital ER being over run with illegal aliens)

• LOST OF CONSTITUTIONAL FREEDOM

• CRIMINAL PENITALY OF 5YRS IN PRISION IF YOU REFUSE TO BE COVERED

Welcome to CHANGE AND HOPE!

TX Soldier, Killeen, TX (Fort Hood)

PS: Tammy, how do I send you a copy of the Killeen Daily Herald Newspaper of that day?
