Judge Dismisses All Charges Against Blackwater
by Tammy on December 31, 2009You may remember the beginning of this persecution of Blackwater, an entity made up primarily of ex-military, contracted by the US government to provide security in Iraq and Afghanistan, and other theatres of war. They are, IMHO, one of the hero groups which has helped to keep this nation safe. Well, we have some very good news about an all too familiar prosecutions by our own “justice department” against those who have the courage to face down the enemy and simply do their job. This time, like the majority of other times, a judge has dismissed all charges and includes very harsh words for the prosecutors. Judge dismisses all charges in Blackwater shooting A federal judge on Thursday threw out...

Obama Plays Terror ‘Politics’ With Our Lives
by Tammy on December 31, 2009It appears the Commander-in-Chief is so malignantly narcissistic he sees attempts at mass torture/murder of Americans simply as assaults on his political future. Here are a couple updates on the choices the Dumb Bastard’s admin has made since hundreds of people were terrorized in the skies above Detroit. The Politics of Incompetence The White House, according to the source, is in full defensive spin mode. Other administration sources also say a flurry of memos were generated on December 26th, 27th, and 28th, which developed talking points about how Obama’s decision to effectively shut down the Homeland Security Council (it was merged earlier this year into the National Security Council, run by National Security Adviser James Jones) had nothing to do...

Oww Canada – What to do about rising health care costs?
by Pat_S on December 31, 2009A post by Pat To hear it from Obama and the Democrats, the high cost of health care is primarily caused by the greed of private health insurance companies. Big Pharma used to be on the enemies list too, but they struck a deal and have thus far escaped vilification. They are fools if they think they inoculated themselves with lifetime immunity. Health care is expensive. There are many factors that go into it, not the least of which is that we have tremendous advances in medical technology and pharmacology. There are inefficiencies that can be fixed to help control costs, but the cost curve will keep going up if medical care is to improve and more people are accessing...

Retaking Our Nation in This Happy New Year
by Tammy on December 30, 2009I just want to wish all of you a very Happy New Year. I know we’ve had a pretty rough 2009, but look to the new year as one that waits for us to make a difference. We learned a lot of lessons last year, and many of your fellow Americans who voted for Obama learned a very difficult one. Next year is our time–the emergence of the Independent Conservative and a renewal of a passionate commitment to our nation with an awareness never to take our freedom for granted. Start 2010 with President Washington in mind–let’s honor him with our commitment to retaking our nation. So indeed, Happy New Year, it is an honor and a pleasure to be...

Krauthammer: Obama’s Response to Iran Uprising “Missing History”
by Pat_S on December 28, 2009A post by Pat Charles Krauthammer critiques the President’s remarks about the Iran uprising. Flaccid words. Meaningless words. This is a revolution in the streets. Revolutions happen quickly. There is a moment here in which if the thugs in the street who are shooting in the crowds stop shooting, it’s over and the regime will fall. The courage of the demonstrators and the boldness isn’t only a demonstration of courage, it is a indication of a shift in the balance of power. The regime is weakening. This is a hinge of history. Everything in the region will change if the regime is to change. Obama ought to be strong out there and saying to the illegitimate government, we stand shoulder...

What About Radical Christians?
by Maynard on December 28, 2009A post by Maynard Did you know that before the radical Muslim underwear bomber, there was a radical Christian underwear bomber? It was all laid out in Rosie O’Connell’s 2008 documentary. Here’s the clip of Bill O’Reilly interviewing Rosie and award-winning documentarian Michael Malone. (Here’s a link to a clearer version of the video; the embedded clip above has a touch of censorship to make it slightly more tasteful.) For more of the same, buy or rent this.

Iran – Protests expanding to other cities
by Pat_S on December 27, 2009A post by Pat Protests in Iran have spread beyond Tehran. The opposition supporters claim nine people have been killed so far including the nephew of opposition leader Mousavi. The Iran press has finally admitted that four protesters were killed. Aljezeera reported on the protests earlier. Hamid Dubashi, professor of Iran Studies at Columbia University, says the momentum is building and the Iranian government is facing an uncontrollable uprising. The momentum has been building consistently. The class base of the movement is expanding. Labor organizations, women’s organizations, university students, etc., they are all expanding and it is spilling into the other cities. This is a major civil rights uprising and the government is now acting as a porcupine with all...

Merry Christmas
by Tammy on December 25, 2009And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn. And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with fear. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy that will be for all the people…”
