All these guys live like kings; it's probably illegal for them to do otherwise. And if they venture off government land, they've got to have a large buffer zone for security reasons. I remember how the Democrats jumped on Bush for his vacations in Crawford, but I didn't care about that either. Nor did I admire Bill Clinton for being more of a Washington creature. Actually, in the abstract, I'd expect any reasonable person to flee from Washington every chance he gets. And why not? In these days of connectivity, a president is never out of touch. He can do his job anywhere. I'm not saying this to defend Obama; I just want to keep the griping on track. We're going to be brought low by the debts and entitlements and payoffs and micromanagement, not the personal lifestyle issues. I can’t get too excited about the Hawaiian vacation.
