Excellent post Tammy! One thing about the Coco López -- next time make sure to mix the creamy white coconut from under the lid with the rest of the liquid in the can before you mix (or else shake the can before you open) so that you can get the full flavor. The coconut settles on top while standing, and that's why you see the white stuff. I use it all the time for my pina coladas, and like you said, it's delicious!

Tammy:

Thanks for injecting some "holiday spirits" into what would be a challenging Christmas season for the conservative-minded. I loved your review of scotch, and your comments about the extent to which conservatives should drink over the net year. I know I am planning on some controlled imbibing -- especially during the State of the Disunion speech in January.

I am Romanian in heritage; however, one of my favorites is Bailey's Irish Cream. Also, when I comfort-drink, I love strawberry margaritas (getting some Vitamin C and fiber with my ethanol):

    *   6 fluid ounces tequila
    * 2 fluid ounces triple sec
    * 8 ounces frozen sliced strawberries in syrup
    * 4 fluid ounces frozen limeade concentrate

Fill a blender with ice and crush. Pour in the tequila and triple sec. Add the strawberries and limeade. Blend for 30 seconds or until smooth. Serve in margarita glasses with the rims dipped in powdered sugar.

I am looking forward to cracking open a bottle of fine champagne November 2012! Until then, I will try a few of the TAM-inspired concoctions. :)

Merry Christmas to you, the Palin Democrat, Snoopy and Sydney, and the rest of Team Tammy. You will help me keep my sanity during 2010! And happy holidays to all the TAMs, too.

Tammy,

Loved it.. but you forgot THE MOST Important drink...that would be "The Bloody Mary."
The hotter the better for that after Christmas Day "with the family" cocktail need!
I would give you my recipe...but then I would have to kill you! It's top secret! :)
