You can be sure that Obama and his staff were completely brought up to speed on the local players before he even boarded the plane. I take this as an indication of Obama's thoroughness. Here's a President, over a year after the fact in a state that he carried handily, flipping off someone that didn't kowtow. For all his apparent shambling through the motions, he and his administration are working 24/7 to do the things that we both see and those that we are completely ignorant of. And some, like Axelrod's shiney bubble, are simply handed off to Nancy & Harry to consume the bandwidth.
