Barbara Walters Interview With Scott Brown
by Pat_S on January 31, 2010Barbara Walters interviewed the newly elected Senator from Massachusetts. I thought he did a good job answering the questions and avoiding the traps. She started off with Brown’s “resume”. I didn’t know a resume started at the age of twelve but that’s where Walters began with his arrest for shoplifting. Walters asked if he thought Sarah Palin was presidential material. “Well sure”, he answered. Walters brought up the meeting Obama had with the Republicans mentioning the President’s criticism about politicians demonizing each other. Walters added her observation that it seems to be working for Republicans. On the issues of abortion and gay marriage, Walters asked Brown, who is pro-choice, if his views were out of step with the Republican party...

Oh Look, Obama Found a Nickel on the Street
by Tammy on January 30, 2010Hey Dumb Bastard, while you’re at it how about giving us back that $500 billion still unspent from the Crap Sandwich? White House lists some proposed cuts in 2011 budget President Barack Obama will propose cutting or changing some 120 items in his budget for fiscal 2011 that will help save $20 billion this year, [Whoa!!!! Amazing!! And I'm gonna use that quarter I found under my couch cushion to pay my mortgage!] the White House said on Saturday. Obama, who on Monday presents his budget proposals for the fiscal year starting October 1, has promised to tackle record deficits by initiating a spending freeze on some domestic programs and eliminating programs that are redundant. The White House gave a...

Palin: Moving KSM Trial Doesn’t Solve the Problem
by Tammy on January 30, 2010An excellent assessment from the governor about the Obama admin discussing moving the 9/11 terrorists trial out of New York and, presumably, into another American city. In comments Thierry notes they may move the trials to Boston as punishment for Scott Brown. I wouldn’t out that past them. Here’s Palin’s take, via Facebook. Stay Focused: Relocating Terrorists’ Trial Doesn’t Solve the Main Problem People are celebrating the fact that the Obama Administration is considering relocating the terrorists’ trial from New York to another American city. Yet there’s still no talk of moving the trial out of our U.S. civilian courts to where it should take place – a military tribunal. Now the administration is backtracking in order to fix its...

The Budget From Skull Cave
by Pat_S on January 30, 2010A post by Pat Skull Cave was The Phantom’s base Unlike many fictional costumed heroes, the Phantom does not have supernatural powers of any kind, but relies on his strength, intellect and reputation of being an immortal ghost to defeat his opponents. He is protected at home in large part by the Bandar pygmies, or “Poison-People”, whose fearsome reputation is enough to keep the uninvited out of his jungle. PC disclaimer: The cartoon character The Phantom just popped into my head when I read the following article. PC conditioning immediately kicked in cautioning me not to connect Obama to The Phantom. Even though The Phantom is an heroic figure, he lived in a jungle. In Africa. That’s problematic nowadays. The...

Dumb Bastard Wakes Up, Orders NYC Terror Trials Moved
by Tammy on January 28, 2010Thank you Massachusetts. White House orders Justice Department to look for other places to hold 9/11 terror trial White House officials have told the Justice Department to consider other venues for the 9/11 terror trial that was to be held in lower Manhattan, the Daily News has learned. The decision came after Mayor Bloomberg and other politicians across the state railed against President Obama’s plan to try Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in Manhattan Federal Court. Attorney General Eric Holder now has to think of other places where the trial could take place, officials said. It was not immediately clear if the reassessment means the trial will definitely be moved out of the city. I don’t think this “other venues” order means...
