UPDATE: The Boston Tea Party!! Brown wins! Coakley has conceded.
Palin: Mr. Brown Goes to Washington… In a Pick-up Truck, No Less!
Heads up TAMs! I’ve posted a live chatroom exclusively for Tammy Army Members regarding tonight Massachusetts election. Please visit the Members subpage and join in!
WOW…..this is exciting. Gives me new hope that we can indeed save America from the Progressive Socialists!!! Tammy thanks for doing so much to help save America too!!
Woohoo! Coakley just conceded!!! Ok, Republicans don’t waste this opportunity that the people of Massachusetts have given you. Go conservatism!
The people have spoken.
after i left the chat, i clicked on a great pic of mary katharine ham on her facebook with a samual adams!
rick
Senator Gigolo needs more botox.
Fun Fact: The last time Massachusetts had a Republican Senator, Obama was in diapers.
He needs diapers now too.
oh that is too precious.
Massachusetts, I love you! I am now, as of this moment, a Red Sox fan. … Go Patriots! (And, if we can ever afford a vacation again, Cape Cod sounds lovely!)
Holy smokes, did this actually happen? I passed on the opprotunity to go to Christie’s inaugural to stay home and watch the MA rseults come in and boy, was it worth staying home! :-)
There was definitely an earthquake in Massachusetts tonight. Palin/Brown 2012 one “hot” ticket for America.
A note of caution:
Many have noted that Brown is using Sarah Palin talking points. They have learned to speak the language of the Tea Party movement. This does not mean that Brown’s actions will match his words.
Mitt and McCain disgust me. This victory is not theirs, it’s not even Palin’s, it belongs to the people of Massachusetts. Sarah gave credit where it was due. They soak up the spotlight of other people’s work.
We need to watch out so that we don’t get caught up in lingo that does not equal actions. If we’re not careful, the establishment will truly hijack the Tea Party movement by using our words and voting big government.
Who knows what’s going to happen, but like Palin (and Reagan) say, there’s no limit to what you can accomplish so long as you don’t care who gets the credit.
Mitt Romney does not have the courage of conviction. He has the courage to take credit for victories. He would make a good RNC chair.
Brown is a good guy and he’s been supportive of Sarah in the past, so I’m not pre-judging him, I’m just saying that we have to beware. We’re awake now. Good rhetoric isn’t enough anymore.
I’m happy about Brown. I’m psyched for what this means and for the people of Mass. I’m ticked off at Romney and how the good ole’ boys are lining up to take credit, but whatever.
As for Brown, he is a moderate. I think he’s a good guy, but so are a lot of people. We’ll just have to wait and see what he does.
Sarah’s Facebook post was right on. She gave credit to the people – right where it belongs. And she cautioned Brown about forgetting those who voted for him.
If he goes RINO, she won’t be to blame for it. Romney can stick his oily head next to Brown’s face just before the camera flashes in order to say, “Hey, look at me!” But people know a phony when they see one. Romney is a good manager, don’t get me wrong, but he doesn’t really believe in anything. The real will separate itself from the phony in time.
They really do chase the train.

Good point, Uffda. One major reason the Repubs lost congress in the first place, is because they weren’t walking their talk, and many went RINO. Which is why Brown needs to step down after couple of terms, TWO AT THE MOST, or else the good people of Massachusetts need to unelect him.
Same story with my senator McCain. He’s been in office so long, he’s become a RINO. He didn’t change Washington, it changed him. I’m voting against him in my state’s primary, unless his opponent is a drooling vegetable.
Just got in from the college where I teach, and I am over-the-moon-giddy-happy! Thank God for this wonderful and stunning blow to the Obamunist administration.
We still have our work cut out for us, but this is definitely a night to celebrate and kick some dirt in a libtard’s face – especially their leader.
Just think – a couple months ago, Obama blew off New Jersey & Virginia – two states that were overwhelmingly in favor of him just the year before. Well, he can’t blow off his defeats any longer! Everybody on earth sees what just happened! We made Obama the laughingstock on the world stage. We’ve rejected his agenda SOUNDLY and if that’s not enough of ‘the Scott heard around the world’, the tea party movement is more than alive and well: it’s more energized than ever to get rid of the party hacks holding this nation back. I’m also so glad this happened in Massachusetts as a reminder that tonight was indeed the people throwing Obama’s putrid mess of an agenda into the harbor to protest tyranny and excessive taxation.
I’m watching the replay of the victory speech and I hope to God that Obama was sitting in a room with Rahm Emmanuel, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer, Barney Frank and all the other freaks of fascism seeing people of Massachusetts yell ‘USA! USA!’ and ‘Yes We Did!’ and getting the clue that even people in a blue-stronghold do not want this nation destroyed by a lying, snotty-ass Chicago shitbag!
A Palin/Brown ticket is sounding pretty damn good…
Can’t say I feel like celebrating. This is a positive development, but it’s only a single step. The main question is whether the rising Republicans are willing and able to express and implement good ideas. Doing nothing is better than adopting Obama’s toxic agenda, but is America being offered better options than “nothing” and “awful”? We’ve been burned by Republicans before; I’ll be skeptical until they prove themselves.
On the Democrat side, it would at least signal an interest in listening to the people rather than beating them into submission if Reid and Pelosi were dumped in favor of more moderate leadership. Who will be the first Democrat Senator or Congressman to say this aloud? I have a feeling that if the idea gets started, it will go viral.
I agree. The average Republican couldn’t sell a dollar for fifty cents.
However, I have been celebrating, and as tipsy as I am, GOP 2010 hopefuls need to take heed: Martha Coakley ran a terrible campaign. She is living proof of where complacency leads. You need to embrace the Tea Party sincerely; once you start pandering, everyone will know it. I can hear the Democrats already– “We heard you loud and clear in Massachusetts, and we understand where you’re coming from. We work for you, of course, and we really, really, truly care what you have to say. Honest to goodness, we live for it.”
As long as that retiring Senator from Ohio or those two darlings from Maine don’t act out, America has a chance with regard to health care.
REAL REFORM. Start with TORT reform so that doctors don’t needlessly waste their energy with mountains of paperwork and ordering all kinds of tests simply to protect themselves from potential lawsuits, efforts that only take them away from what they’re meant to provide: quality patient care. Add a whole host of common sense measures completely ignored that somehow did not make it into that monstrosity of a bill, which I don’t need to go into detail right now.
Take a deep breath and remember this is only the beginning. Stem the tide for now. Keep the pressure up. Mid-term elections cannot come soon enough.
Maynard – I understand your concern, but I do think some celebrating is in order! After an entire year of being ignored, called ‘Nazis’ and ‘teabaggers’, being blamed for the problems in our nation – and the world, for that matter, it’s nice to see the tide turning. This loss for Obama is significant though I have no doubt he will do everything he can to shove his agenda through anyway. We just made it a lot harder for him for now.
There is reason to be concerned about the GOP maneuvering – we’re watching ‘politics as usual’ being played in Arizona as McCain is using part of his mega-war chest to run a RINO in the 8th district (where I live). The problem is: we already have 3 grassroots newbie candidates who have worked hard this past year exposing the record of the current occupant, Gabrielle Giffords. In fact, Jesse Kelly (one of the candidates & who I support: http://www.votejessekelly.com/) took Giffords to task publicly on her record, challenged her to a healthcare debate she didn’t show up for, then took over her townhalls she cancelled last August. So the ground work was laid and then the McCain candidate announced a few days ago he was running. It’s purely on his name because he certainly has not challenged Giffords or been with us at protests as the other 3 grassroots candidates. It’s also the McCain way to keep RINOS dominating our state. The guy who co-wrote McCain/Feingold is using the very evil money he forbids others to use in order to run HIS candidate in a district that didn’t ask Paton to run in the first place. Funny how that happened.
I know there has been speculation about getting rid of the Pelosi/Reid stronghold; however, the party is dominated by the far left and so is the administration. Sure, they may try a tactic to appear they are listening to us now. But after a solid year of their crap, I don’t think many will fall for it. It’s a little too late.
The important thing is this: we started something last April, and look where we are! We’ve done this at the local, state and federal level all in less than a year! We are going to keep educating people, fighting the RINOS and the Democrats, and we’re going to take this country back even more in November. We’ve been winning elections in areas we couldn’t expect to win a year ago. All it took was everyone getting a little taste of the bitter pill of ‘hope and change’.
Wow!
The result of the election in Massachusetts was a rebellion just like the Boston Tea Party. Average folks standing up to the Big Government then and now. Today, the voters came armed with their power to vote. They didn’t just speak; they ROARED. And no matter how much they’ll try to downplay it, the godling and his minions heard it:
“Don’t tread on We The People”
P.S. Imagine what the punch-drunk, old boxer and the BotoxBiddy must be doing right now! Ha, ha, ha. Yup Pelosi’s face must be contorting in rage. It’s probably the first time in years that her facial muscles have moved! Ah, ha, ha, ha
” taxpayer money needs to go to buy weapons to defeat terrorists not to lawyers to defend them.”
that doesn’t sound like mitt romney or olympia snowe…..or like any of the rest of those dopes and gelded road cones in the senate now, does it? time will tell what the apparently toxic air of washington dc could do to scott brown- but he’s seen as a fairly straight shooter here. not a conservative’s conservative for sure but every single person i know of who has had contact with him through the years says the same thing- he’s an upfront guy who has been very responsive to his constituents- he listens to them. imagine.
think of it-uncle teddy’s seat has been won by a republican who basically ran on voting deathcare out of existence- killing teddy’s dream, his lifelong dream from his own regal throne of entitlement. come on-the political earth has shifted on it’s axis. maybe you have to be in the state to really really get it. marsha marsha marsha had a 30 point lead going into this. everyone knew her. no one knew who he was.our secretary of state has a history of playing fast and loose with the ballots. acorn has a long standing presence.teddy killed a chick and they kept him in office 50 years . i would bet brown won by a much larger margin in reality. you know they cheated- like they did when brown first ran for state office-” and we still didn’t beat him”.
scott brown won the district in which the kennedy compound has been located for decades.
free at last…… free at last…..!!!!!
deval”barry’s mini me” patrick is next. any demotool or republidope who thinks business as usual will work is on notice. psychologically this is devastating for the obama agenda freaks- the state that has deathcare- doesn’t want the f’ing thing! it’s a first step for sure but we have to get in there with a strong foothold. this was massive and we should celebrate and realize we do have the power. i was getting really desperate that we faced impossible odds. i voted than submersed myself in work and bad spanish techo and pop music. i couldn’t bare to listen to any news- being whipped around by nancy and harry’s deathcare circus for months was too much for me .when i finally flipped on the news and scott was giving a speech i was sort of dazed- i couldn’t believe he won by large enough margin for coakley to have actually (and graciously) conceded.
it really was the massachusetts miracle.
It sure was weird to hear a Sarah Palin Talking Points Refresher out of the mouth of Scott Brown.
Next news flash he thanks Mc Cain, Romney Fat Teddy and his hag and Doug Flutie.
Next flash Palin says on Greta show : he did not call her and he did not ask for her help.
Okeeeie Dokie….
Palin 2012. Scott had better know his place. It is under the Palin name in any Palin /Brown ticket.
###
flutie is a god here- and he campaigned for brown . he was on the stage with him at the time. and you get no where fast not being gracious to kennedys here even if you do not agree with them.it used to be like that- the most liberal democrat in either house got along swimmingly with the most conservative republican- even if they fought tooth and nail on the floor. it’s far more vicious now outside of the arena. tip o’neil never called anyone a nazi or brown shirt if they didn’t agree with him. now look at pelosi and reid.
brown is going to use his position to do the people’s work in the people’s seat- not take the ‘kennedy seat’ just to smear teddy for the next 3 years- unlike obama vis a vis bush.
romney kept his distance from brown throughout the campaign- even though apparently he was helping all along. this is because mitt is not fondly recalled in MA- he used us to run for president than left us stuck with romneycare. it would not have helped brown to have mittens glued to his side-but if he did get help from him it makes sense to thank the guy. many former romney people were on scott’s campaign.
as much as i hate to say it palin is not well received here. i love her- i think she’s great and i would vote her potus in a hot second let alone minute but it’s still MA and they are still freaked by anyone who is smeared as being- the religious right!!!!, an unthinkable horror let alone an admitted republican. it’s going to take time. brown is a native Ma person and a republican of long standing in the most democrat state- he knows how palin is generally viewed here. ‘using’ her could not have helped only hurt him even if he agrees with her 100%.
and palin herself is going to campaign for mccain. and mccain did give us sarah palin- we must not forget.
It is as I always say: Live by the Alinksy Rules, Die by the Alinsky Rules
Win one for Mary Jo!
I’m still celebrating!
Heard Kerry Kennedy today on a local (NYC) radio talk show, stating, “My Uncle Teddy devoted his whole life to helping others in need.” Yeah, probably so, except for a young woman choking to death while trapped in a car, in the bottom of a lake. Oh! and what about that young woman who was raped by his medical-student nephew, William Smith ? OK, but other than those two, Uncle Teddy was one amazing humanitarian!!!!
Urkel’s getting ready to mount another cavalry charge on health care. It’s the only thing he knows how to do. It doesn’t matter that his forces got cut to pieces on the battlefields of Massachusetts. Double down and charge again. It’s the liberal way.
PEEPS: Read Maynard and go clean your guns, reload ammo, press and repair your uniforms and be back at your posts after this short, well-deserved R&R. Tammy. thanks for being in the right place at the right time. I sent Brown 10.00 as per your suggestion and will do so in upcoming elections. Oh, is there a way to find out how many out-of-state individuals donated to Brown? I read of RNC taking credit for pumping money in. I think he was supported more by individual ‘extremists’ and not an ‘organized’ effort whch would be a real phenomenon to discuss.
The NY Times wrote, ‘That seat, held for nearly half a century by Mr. Kennedy, the liberal lion of the Senate, will now be held for the next two years by a Republican who has said he supports waterboarding as an interrogation technique for terrorism suspects, opposes a federal cap-and-trade program to reduce carbon emissions and opposes a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants unless they leave the country.
Beyond the imperiled heath care bill, the election of a man supported by the Tea Party movement also represented an unexpected reproach by many voters to President Obama after his first year in office, and struck fear into the hearts of Democratic lawmakers, who are already worried about their prospects in the midterm elections later this year. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/20/us/politics/20election.html?hp
But even better, Left wing tool, Andrea Mitchell, on MSNBC had the unmitigated gaul to call Brown a “REPUBLICAN INSURGENT!” Here’s the video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eRCkRtVQMY
There is ANOTHER Brown in Massachussetts as a threat to Dems. Rachel Brown, the woman who confronted Barney Frank at a summer Town Hall meeting, is running for Congress against same monster. You might take a look at her.
