So…why do they get to have 14 inch barrels and we have to have, at least, 18 inch shotguns in most states? Maybe someone should do a “citizen’s arrest” for Federal Firearms non-compliance on any IRS agent carrying one of these…..

Ok, I’m wondering why the IRS needs weapons at all. Shouldn’t the FBI and/or Federal Marshalls be handling law enforcement? Is every branch of the government going to get weapons and their own gestapo? This is yet another sign that government and it’s agencies need to be reigned in.

I’m struggling to imagine a scenario that would require shotgun-wielding IRS agents. I mean, G-Men aren’t still roaming through the backwoods searching for moonshiners, are they? If someone owes $20.000 in back taxes; hell, if someone owes $200,000 in unpaid taxes, does the IRS expect a potential barricaded-man situation when they pay a visit? After all, money is just paper, (we already know how to just print more), is it really worth it to start squeezing triggers?

As to Count Crash’s T.J. Hooker comment, all I have to say is, “…taste my 12-gauge pumpie!”

I have a Mossberg Model 500 with a 20″ barrel and 6 +1 round capacity. And a Ruger Mini 14 with a few 30 round magazines. And several other rifles, shotguns, and pistols.

I’m not gonna shoot it out with them, I prefer a ballot-box revolution. But, I don’t plan to live in the USSA either.

Yes, this is quite scarry. First that pencil pushers which might have recieved less than adequate training in combat weapons tracing about with these weapons in office buildings (standby for collateral damage) and second that the majority of tax criminals rarely go about with fully auto weapons, body armor, and take no prisoners attitude. They are usually rich a#%holes hiding behind their lawyers and foriegn bank accounts. So if an IRS representative needs armed back up they should just call in Federal Marshalls or the local Sheriffs Office. Why should we pay for not only the weapons but the training needed for personnel to use them when we have law enforcement officials who are already trained for just the situations required by armed personnel? I think the clerically trained should stay that way and leave the TJ Hooker senarios to the guys and gals in blue.
