Whoa. Small Plane Crashed Into IRS Office
by Tammy on February 18, 2010In Texas. Early reports are the man first set his house on fire then flew the small plane into the building. I give it even odds the fascists in the White House will blame it on the Nazi-Mob-Brownshirt Tea Party Fringe Movement. 3-2-1… Texas Small Plane Crash Might Be Intentional Act, Officials Say Officials are investigating whether a small plane that crashed into an office building in Austin, Texas, Thursday morning was an intentional act, an NTSB official told Fox News. An NTSB spokesman, however, told FoxNews.com that “we can’t confirm any of that.” Authorities said they have identified the pilot as Joseph Andrew Stack, a 53-year-old software engineer who lived in Texas. An Internal Revenue Service office is located...

Second Tea Party Convention Set for July in Vegas
by Tammy on February 18, 2010Let’s hope they heard the point about registration prices. If so, this could be a lot of fun. :) Would you go if the price was right? Second Tea Party Convention Planned for Vegas in July Fresh off a convention just a few weeks ago, Tea Party organizers on Wednesday announced another national convention, and this time they’re going to invade Las Vegas from July 15-17 with their message of lower taxes and smaller government. Organizers are making a point of the location, too — taking a jab at recent comments President Obama made about Las Vegas. “President Obama told Americans not to go to Las Vegas so that is exactly where Tea Party Nation will be holding our next...

Palin Ahead of Where Obama Was 30 Months Out
by Tammy on February 17, 2010A very interesting piece from Andrew Malcolm at the Los Angeles Times. What do I have to say about it? Run, Baby, Run! ;) Something to ponder for 2012: Sarah Palin’s ahead of where Obama was 30 months before his nomination A recent Washington Post/ABC News Poll found that 30 months out from the 2012 party presidential nominations, only 71% of Americans believe that Sarah Palin is not qualified to be president. This compares with someone named Barack Obama. At the same point in his then unannounced campaign, 0% thought he was qualified for the Oval Office. That’s because he wasn’t even on the polling lists’ radar then. The Illinois senator didn’t show up on the polling charts until 24...

8 of 10 Missionaries Go Free in Haiti
by Tammy on February 17, 2010While gangs roam Haitian refugee camps raping women, it struck me as especially macabre that Haiti, with all of its astounding problems after the earthquake, thought a bunch of US missionaries trying to help some kids was the ‘problem’ they needed to focus on. Perhaps we should also consider the fact the release happened the day French President Sarkozy arrived in Haiti. Urkel hasn’t visited Haiti. But I understand; visiting countries where you can’t have a concert and not everything is about you can be a bit mundane. Haiti frees eight US missionaries after parents refute ‘kidnap’ charges Eight American missionaries were freed from a Haitian jail last night, nearly three weeks after being charged with kidnapping for trying to...

Hmm, What’s That in Comments?
by Tammy on February 16, 2010Well, it looks like an infrastructure change, that while it didn’t create or save any jobs, it does give the Commenter the ability to go back and edit the comment! But you have to make your changes within 10 minutes of the original posting of the comment. So look for those typos!! Woo hoo! No more adding another comment to make sure peeps knew you meant “gun” and not “gin.” Or “Tammy” instead of “Timmy.” Or, heck, “Obama” not “Osama.” Or something. What? And to whom do you owe a big cyber hug for this particular handy-dandy change filled with hope? Chris, that’s who!

For want of a nail… Counterfeit military parts
by Pat_S on February 16, 2010A post by Pat For want of a nail the shoe was lost. For want of a shoe the horse was lost. For want of a horse the rider was lost. For want of a rider the battle was lost. For want of a battle the kingdom was lost. And all for the want of a horseshoe nail. Study: Fake military parts on the rise Already heavily taxed by two wars and repeated worldwide deployments, the U.S. military is facing yet another challenge: the increasing intrusion of counterfeit electronics and other parts into its supply lines. And a new Commerce Department study finds the Pentagon is barely addressing the problem. When it literally comes down to the nuts and bolts...

On the O’Reilly Factor Tonight
by Tammy on February 15, 2010I’ll let you know more soon. Hope you can tune in :) UPDATE: I think things went well. It’s always nice to be in studio, so this was a particular treat :) The subject was whether or not California is going conservative. I reminded everyone that this was the state that gave the nation Reagan, and that Palin was the next Western frontier national leader. I don’t know how well that point got across, but I think things went well in general. Opposite me was radio host Leslie Marshall. Should air within the first half hour of the show. UPDATE: VIDEO Hmm, I guess you could say, officially, that I don’t have a poker face ;)
