Health Care or Wealth Care? –Ask Howard Dean
by Pat_S on March 29, 2010A post by Pat Howard Dean rivals Biden in the loose lips department. The question is, in a democracy, where does the right balance between those at the top who are at 20% of the people do most of the consumer spending and so forth and so on, and those at the bottom? I think it — when it gets out of whack as it did in the 20s and it has now, you need to do some redistribution. This is a form of redistribution. If you redistribute too much, then the system doesn’t work ’cause you take out the incentive.

Palin Gets Dangerous
by Tammy on March 28, 2010First, she wears leather at the McCain rally in Tucson. Now, she’s in the face of the Thought Police. Are the two connected? No, but both are kinda nice ;) I can tell you right now how absolutely infuriating it is to the Left that Sarah Palin will not surrender to any of their Gestapos. On a daily basis. It is a joy to watch, and especially satisfying that it’s a woman delivering the much needed resistance and message. From her Facebook page, Palin gets in the Left’s face and shows us by example the importance of speaking/writing your mind, especially if the Gestapos would prefer you not. The subject? College basketball, of course. Warning: Subject to New Politically Correct...

Confessions of an Unrepentant Bomber
by Maynard on March 28, 2010Maynard is a criminal This is my (Maynard’s, not Tammy’s!) confession. But it’s really nothing more than another personal rambling rant, and you should skip it.

Candy Gets Catty About Sarah’s Income
by Pat_S on March 28, 2010A post by Pat Sarah Palin had a triumphant double-header this weekend. Unable to acknowledge outright that Sarah Palin is popular and influential, Candy Crowley on her Sunday show characterized Palin’s activities as “busy” and “lucrative”.

Showdown in Searchlight: tea party targets Reid Thousands of tea party activists streamed into Sen. Harry Reid’s hometown in Nevada Saturday morning, bringing American flags, “Don’t Tread on Me” signs and outspoken anger toward President Barack Obama and his health care overhaul. The activists’ star, Sarah Palin, will rally the crowds later Saturday from a makeshift stage in a patch of dusty desert about 60 miles north of Las Vegas.

The NHS Files – ‘Disinvestment’
by Pat_S on March 27, 2010A post by Pat The day after the Democrats muscled the health care abomination into law, the President was out in the hinterland joking that the sky had not fallen. He really thinks we’re that stupid. (Besides, global warming is going to make the sky fall.) In fact, it is a lovely day, he said. For him maybe. For health insurers, it was just a day like any other over the past year. They continue being lambasted and vilified as much as ever. The Democrats think it is their best card to play to change public opinion. For those who are taken in by this tactic, they should be informed about the NHS disinvestment planning. What would the President say...

After 8 Seasons, ’24′ Is Cancelled
by Tammy on March 26, 2010This season is the end. It was a great show, so its demise is sad. At the same time, I have most of this season’s episodes Tivo’d but haven’t even watched them yet. Not sure why, but if my ambivalence is any sort of a sign, perhaps this is why it’s over. Fox’s ’24′ winds down to its end Fox has officially stopped the clock on 24. The network announced Friday it has canceled the series, as first reported by USA TODAY. A victim of higher costs and declining ratings, 24 will end its run when the current eighth season concludes this spring. Star Keifer Sutherland says he’s “really nostalgic and really sad” at the show’s demise. But executive producer...

Fake NV ‘Tea Party’ Candidate Facing Felony Charges
by Tammy on March 26, 2010A man who has no association with the Nevada Tea Party yet is running as the ‘Tea Party’ candidate for Reid’s US Senate seat, now faces felony theft and bad check charges in Las Vegas. Despite this fakery, the headlines announcing his legal problems all involve the words “tea party” of course. While this guy may just be an opportunist, like the “violence” being exacted on Democrats, this sort of tactic could also very well be the result of leftist attempts to smear and distract Tea Party Patriots. Nevada tea party candidate facing felony charges A Nevada asphalt contractor who faces a legal challenge to his Tea Party of Nevada candidacy for U.S. Senate was hit Friday with felony theft...

Out of This World Snacks For NASA
by Pat_S on March 25, 2010A post by Pat Weightlessness used to be a problem for NASA when they were going into space. They’ll be having another kind of weight problem soon. Instead of going to space, NASA is going to the bakery. They still ring up a big tab though. They paid $66 per person for snacks at a training session for, get ready, procurement officials. NASA Caught Paying Sky-High Prices for Snacks The nation’s space agency paid the out-of-this-world price of $66 a person a day for bagels, cookies and juice at a conference, a new report found. The subject of the NASA conference? It was a training session for its procurement officials, the people who do the buying with taxpayer money. During...
