Like, "Yeah, he kinda dropped the ball there, but in his defense he seems to have mostly picked it back up." Not saying the loyalty issue doesn't play a big part of it; I think that if, say, someone else had been at the top of the ticket and picked her as VP instead of McCain, I doubt she would be headed to Arizona. But it is nice of her to acknowledge both the people who disagree with her on that issue and the fact that Mr. McCain is basically acting now a lot more like he should have in 2008.
