It had to be done and they did it. Gov. Brewer signed S.B. 1070 into law addressing the crisis the federal government has refused to fix. Now get ready for the fallout.

The law is attacked as empowering law enforcement to engage in racial profiling. Gov. Brewer and law enforcement officials assure that won’t be the case. The pro-amnesty forces will waste no time going after the law with legal challenges, boycotts and everything else in their toolbox. Some will say the law makes it even more imperative to pass immigration “reform”.

Fox News’ Judge Napolitano sums up the anti-1070 arguments succinctly.

We should stand by and let millions of people enter the country illegally, be a burden on our infrastructure, commit crimes, even vote, rather than hurt a political party which wasn’t doing all that well with the demographic already? Nothing should be done because orchestrated legal harassment will cost a lot?

I worry the tactics will be effective. The forces in favor of protecting illegal immigration are mighty. Arizona was right to take action and they will be hurt for it. They are the frontline in the battle against illegal immigration that affects all of us. All of America owes Arizona our thanks and our support.

It was intersting because most of the protesters were high school kids, and those I heard speak had no idea what they were talking about. One said the illegals have as much of a right to be here as we do.

There will be fallout, but 70% of the state is behind this. We have waited for the federal government to do their job, but they have not. Next step is to get a bill that makes it manatory to prove one is in this country legally before any benefit is provided. (ememergency health care is the exception… only in that treatment should be provided.,)

  2. fendia says:

Exactly! I spoke to some high school kids in downtown Tucson this morning. It was a big party for them. The leftists will fight us, but the majority of the state is behind this bill. That is why the left had to bus in people from California and the high schools.

  3. MACVEL says:

Hmmm…I understand that your friend John McCain has shifted gears and is now against amnesty. I know not what he thinks about this bill.

    • aliencats says:

He basically said he fears if he does not support it he will not be re-elected. However, most of us do not believe he actually supports it and we are doing what we can to get someone else in the Senate.

We know there is going to be a huge fight on our hands, but judging by the work we’ve accomplished in AZ from the grassroots on up in just one year, we are NOT going to sit back and allow this moment be crushed by those who wish to use immigration as yet another item of tearing this nation down. BTW: I understand the kids that were shown were also bussed in from CA. I have no doubt some in Phoenix were encouraged to protest by their schools, but we have had busloads of illegals come across the AZ/CA border to feign outrage over this bill.

Believe me – we are ready for the fight! I have felt for a long time that Arizona would be on the frontline of changing the course of this nation toward her independent conservative roots. We are an independent people in this state, and we have been extremely patient in waiting for the feds to do their job. They didn’t, so now we’re taking control of our own border, and I applaud Gov. Jan Brewer for doing what no one else had the guts to do: simply enforcing the law.

Gov. Brewer is proof that if you want something done, you get a woman to do it – and no, Jan The Man Napolitano does not count for obvious reasons.

Now, onward to whatever is going to happen with the fight over this bill – and onward to getting McCain out during the primary on August 24. We have already sent the strong signal that we’re not taking any crap out here, and that means McCain’s senate days are drawing to a close! Whatever happens in AZ this year will dictate the course in the elections for this year and 2012.

God bless the AZ state legislature (cudos to State Senator Frank Antenori) and Gov. Jan Brewer. I am so thrilled to call Arizona my home!

    • Foreverautumn says:

Amen, Artgal! I’ve been convinced for years now that McCain is wherever he thinks the wind is blowing. I’m joining you in August 24 to do some RINO hunting. Be there! Aloha!

Brewer also signed a bill allowing concealed carry (in most places) without a permit! In other words, Vermont Carry! That lady is getting MY vote next election.

I was very impressed with Governor Brewer. I had never noticed her before.
Urkle, of course, will try to repress her right actions.
To the idiot who asked the Governor :”What does an illegal alien look like”?
I ask: What Does A Dead Arizona Rancher Look Like When Shot Execution Style?
To urkle I ask: What does an American Born President look like. I am obsessed. *evil grin*.

America wants Brewer to stop illegals before they get to New York (where I live).
Bush did a lot of stalling on this issue not just Mc Cain and AmnestyGraham.

    What does Sarah say?
    Palin in 2012.

I do hope Sarah Palin will comment on this issue. It does pertain to her. According to Judge Napalitano, this bold move will cost Arizona a bundle. I will be most eager to hear Sarah’s perspective since she resigned to save Alaska money. This might be a tight spot for her to explain. Backing Juan McCain and all.

Judge Napolitano is a scumbag. He needs to go back to taking bribes from John Gotti. He was unsuited for the judicial bench and he’s unsuited for television. It’s no wonder that judges are held in such contempt when you have assclowns such as him.

  8. radargeek says:

Bravo Arizona!! These f-in reporters asking how AZ is going to defend the deluge of pro-law-breakers. Shut-up!! This is for ILLEGALS dumb @sses!!! We can’t walk into Mexico illegally, why are the people who are responsible for these laws (feds) not enforcing them? All this time the f-in gov lied to the people about a virtual fences and we don’t need a fence, and bla bla bla…And the dumb-a$$-in-chief, what a scumbag, saying AZ is misguided. That purple lip a-yo is just America’s doormat, letting anyone in. They couldn’t even protect our citizens on the border from being murdered!! Where were you purple lips!!! The gov doesn’t even know who is in our borders, but spends their fat-@ss time surfing porn and making laws to control the law abiding, tax paying citizen. DUDE, WHERE’S MY FED GOVERNMENT?

I think it took a lot of guts for the governor to sign and defend this. She will take lots of heat from the far left, the left, AND some whimpy Republicans. This should be a real battle. You know the White House is in a panic right now trying to decide how to handle this. I just hope that people like Lindsey Graham will be on the right side of this issue. Trying to get hispanic votes by encouraging illegal imigration is unconscionable. The people of Arizona should be proud of their Governor and and legislation.

all the undocumented gatos will have to go to Cali now.

  11. tamcat says:

Are women in office today the only ones with Balls!! Everyone knows what is right, yet no one in power wants to do the right thing concerning illegal immigrants. If we don’t know who they are, they could be murderer’s and rapists.
Sometimes the hard way is the only way to liberty. Governor Brewer is a Hero. 🙂 The other border states should get a clue & move on this cue!!

  12. animalfarm says:

If this law is quashed then I suggest AZ take the opposite tack and completely open their border to illegals. They could encourage and support all illegals to come on across, but with the caveat that they agree to be transported to other generous states. It would be cheaper for AZ to simply ship them to other states than to support them in their own prisons, hospitals, schools, housing, etc. In fact, why not drop off hundreds of them in every congressman’s front yard every day, see how they like it.

    • radargeek says:

I would suggest dropping them off on the New England states and the District of Columbia. Especially, Massachusetts; the state that had fat-a$$ Senator and pro-illegal activist Kennedy and the state that has all that “free health care.” They seem to be the big-mouths in favor of pro-illegals; give them to them. It would be like seeing a micro-experiment of the total breakdown of social services and crime at the state level!! Like what AZ, CA, NM and TX are experiencing now. Yeah!! Great idea animalfarm!

      • thierry says:

but we already have a massive illegal problem in MA that the state refuses to address as it absolutely refuses to enforce it’s own employment laws. not many mexicans but huge influxes from south and central america especially colombia and el salvador. sections of boston are entirely spanish speaking and this provides the slave labor for the service industry especially the food industry and of course construction jobs. illegals are exempt from paying the fines here for not having insurance but there is nothing barring them from free care. i have known people who have purposely taken days off from work so their pay check will be low enough to get free care. nothing is done about it.

as the state plunges into insolvency, deval patrick chose to hack LEGAL immigrants who have followed all the rules from getting state aid for the unaffordable health insurance. it really pays more to be illegal in MA- why bother obeying the law?

of course it has no effect on the kennedys and loony academentia liberal trolls who aren’t blue collar and do not have to compete for jobs with someone who can be paid less, doesn’t require health insurance and will work any and all hours irrespective of the labor laws, people they right know are using other people’s social security numbers. people they can just about abuse who will say nothing about it because of their dreadful fear, from their own countries, of going before public officials.

just because the border isn’t right here does not mean we in MA have not experienced the illegal crime wave- there is a heavy MS 13 presence in places like somerville. they like to do things like have initiates rape young girls to get into their gang. i have personally seen knife fights over drug burns in a place i have worked- and an employee taken away for having pounds of coke in his car. crimes committed with machetes… we’ve had these things too only our media and the majority of the public here refuses to face the truth but would rather wallow in their misguided bleeding heart fantasies about basically themselves and their perceived goodness in supporting illegal immigration . as usual they aren’t thinking a wink about ‘god’s children’ but about their own image. besides the victims of assorted crimes, it’s the aliens who suffer the most. enabling them only enforces their servitude, a servitude liberals very much benefit from exploiting.

    • sandyl says:

Good idea, but I think they already are on Congressmen’s front yards every day—mowing them.

  13. sandyl says:

I am saddened to hear this from the Judge. During the Bush administration I didn’t like some of the things he said, but time has proven him correct. He does know the Constitution, and I hope that this AZ law won’t be overturned. The states should have their power back. The states should decide if they want their hard-earned resources to go to illegals or NOT! In NE illegals can no longer get tax-funded aid (medical help exempted). More states need to take action.

Profiling (not racial) is done everyday by law enforcers–that’s why they need descriptions of every perpetrator, so they can look for people who match the PROFILE!! This is another word that has been turned into something hateful from the left. I am sick of the word-police and the name callers. We are done with all that. Their hollow words bounce right off us now, as we march forward in taking this country back.

I too saw the “protests” and thought they better get to running, because once the bill was signed, the cops guarding the protest might start asking for ID. I also wondered, how is it that the illegals can’t be found to be deported, but can be found to protest? I sure hope the protest organizers didn’t profile.
