** The 3rd Hour has posted for TAMs. Topics include ACORN’s Bertha Lewis, Muhammad dressed in a Teddy Bear suit, and Juan McCain saying illegal aliens are deliberately causing car accidents. What could go wrong? And where did McCain’s big red nose of over-sized floppy shoes go?**

I’d be interested to find out how Allen West’s “money bomb” turned out. I sent him a contribution because I think it’s the best way we can make our voices heard, especially if we have “representatives” who legislate against the public will (can you say Lacy Clay and Claire McCaskill?). Sooner or later we’re going to retire all the Marxists and RINOs.
Looks like he has a lovely family!
Back from Tea Party at 11:30 est. Totally awesome and inspiring! Tons of police (can’t figure out why they were there – I took a pic of a security dude who was so bored he was texting). The crowd was totally behaved. I didn’t see one infiltrator and we were warned by our bus organizer to not engage if we came upon any knuckleheads. We were singing anthems, listening to great speakers and musicians, tossing around beach balls (I think I counted at least 3). Evidently, we all forgot to set dumpsters on fire and smash store front windows. Beautiful weather. No trash (talk or otherwise). Much better set up, speaker placement and layout (tons of portajons). What a great afternoon. Barry flew over twice – that was special – NOT. Lord Munktin (sp?) was a riot – now HE is a funny Brit! We tipped our busdriver quite handsomely – he didn’t count it but said he will donate it to our next bus tour because he is so moved by the citizenry finally standing up and doing something! I’ll send pics to Tammy she can post if she wants. Way cool ya’ll! We meet again on 9/12. Be there or be square.
Oh, I see how it is. The dumb bastard announced arrogantly that us Tea Partiers should be thanking him instead of giving him a hard time. Waaaaahhh. Dumb rat bastard
pubaby. The only thing he will be thanked for, from the likes of us, is waking up the silent majority and getting the truck out of Our House. We will never again fall asleep. I could just feel him looking out the window of his Marine One as he flew over, pointing and sneering “look, they’ve only got 40 thousand this time. HA. They will never stop MEEeee” as he slams the window blind shut and demands another flute of Dom. God what an awful and sick creature. Thanks for the Metallica today! I’m guessing it’s not your favorite genre, but the attitude of “Don’t Tread on Me” suits the Tammy Bruce show perfectly.
The problem with Bill Clinton is he treated Bin Laden the way he should be treating the Tea Partiers, and now, taking his cue from Obama, he’s treating the Tea Partiers the way he should have been treating Bin Laden.
I am concerned that Clinton may be setting us up for another Reichstag fire scenario. This demonizing of the Tea Party is scary stuff.
I know this is off topic, but I just had to post it anyway. I found this on the Media Matters site. This person is a staffer:
“Jocelyn Fong graduated from Goshen College in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in peace, justice, and conflict studies. She worked most recently as an AmeriCorps member with Public Allies Arizona. She is a member of the Research Department at Media Matters for America. ”
Can you believe this – a degree(?) in peace, justice, and conflict studies!
i think in the end after he’s out of office we’ll find out that when they said urkel had a ‘law degree’ they really meant a degree in ‘peace, justice, and conflict studies’…
Hey, Tammy, what was that great jazz piano music you played when you went for water at about 30 minutes in today? I loved it.
I saw your question and, having lived in Brazil and now studying music I’m pretty sure that was Antonio Carlos Jobim. You should YouTube or search iTunes for the particular song. Brazilian music is so wonderful!
I think you’re right about the Brazilian piece being Jobim. That’s not the song I’m talking about. It was prior to the Brazilian one and it was a more standard piano jazz song.
I agree with you on Brazilian music. I saw Astrud Gilberto at a jazz club in Berkeley about 10 years ago and she was amazing.
Great episode Tammy.
As a recovering leftist I was especially struck by your spot-on remarks regarding lefitst intimidation and fear tactics on their base. Yes I’ve been told for years that unless I tow the leftist line I will be sent to a concentration camp and like you, my leftist “friends” never knew what to do with my naturally irreverant humor either.
The period we are in, now reminds me so much of the PC 90′s. The left seems to do whatever it takes to get power and when it does (and always only briefly), they are all about controlling speech. From the bizarre extremes of PC speak then (as a working class gay identified man living in the age of AIDS I feel I can say that to a lesbian identified working class woman and her animal companions) to the disgusting free speech intimidation aimed at today’s heroic tea partiers.
Thanks for helping so many of us recover from that idiocy!
I’m new to this paid part of The Tammy Show; is it normal to wait this long for the 3rd hour? just asking.
First, thanks for becoming a TAM. I truly appreciate it :) Katie, you’re going to fit right in! I’ve been delivering the 3rd hour at various times, and have just recently asked peeps if they wanted the 3rd hour right away or if posting it later would have benefits. I find, after hosting an evening show for years, that posting later gives me a chance to take a look back at the news and handle it slightly differently than as commentary on somewhat breaking news. At the same time, I know it’s cool to have info and analysis as quickly as possible. My live show already hits a bit late–2pm ET, so the TAMs on the east coast tend to have a different preference than TAMs on the west coast. I take it you’d like the 3rd hour sooner in the day?
Also, make sure you visit the Members page for my Welcome letter with additional TAM info, iTunes instructions, etc. Thanks again!
No, no, whenever is fine. Just knowing when is helpful. I’m learning all the new stuff that every one else takes for granted (like not blinking while the chat room is up, or blinking so your eyes don’t dry out while the comments whip past you). But of course, this is my own fault for taking for freaking long to sign up. I walked the dogs, did all the stuff I do on a daily basis and went to bed – probably about when the West Coast was fixing dinner. Ahhh, the life of a retiree … can hardly wait til the Smart Girl Summit this Fall.
I like your nickname. I know it’s probably a geographic reference, but it reminds me of one of my favorite songs, by Fleetwood Mac.
what song? I can’t listen to them anymore, causes me to think of Bill Clinton
By Stevie Nicks
You could be my silver spring
Blue-green colors flashing
I would be your only dream
Your shining over ocean crashing
Don’t say that she’s pretty
And did you say that she loved you
Baby I don’t want to know
So I begin not to love you
Turn ’round, see me running
I say I loved you years ago
But tell myself you never loved me no
And don’t say that she’s pretty
And did you say that she loved you
Baby I don’t want to know
Oh no
And can you tell me was it worth it
Baby I don’t want to know
Time cast a spell on you
But you won’t forget me
I know I could have loved you
But you would not let me
Time cast a spell on you
But you won’t forget me
I know I could have loved you
But you would not let me
I follow you down ’till the sound
Of my voice will haunt you
(Give me just a chance)
You’ll never get away from the sound
Of the woman who loves you
(Was I just a fool)
I follow you down ’till the sound
Of my voice will haunt you
(Give me just a chance)
You’ll never get away from the sound
Of the woman who loves you
(Was I just a fool)
KatieSilverSpring: It might help to go to “options” (on top left of chat page) to have chats “ding” whenever your name is typed by someone responding directly to you on the chat page. (We all started “dinging” Tammy’s name one day, so Chris deleted that option for her.)
I enjoy following all the chat, not just my comments or the responses to them. It’s just that you guys are so on top of it that my head spins, or there are just so many of you -like what happened to the Tammy-ding.
Sometimes the 3rd hour is up after one hour past the end of the 2-hour show.
Sometimes a bit longer.
Sometimes late at night.
Always worth the wait.
On a rare occasion it is skipped.
Tammy is the BEST!
