Key Al Qaeda Figure Accidentally Blows Himself Up, U.S. Officials Say
A man whom the U.S. described as a key figure in Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula accidentally blew himself up, U.S. military officials told Fox News.
The officials say Nayif Al-Qahtani was “messing with a bomb” when it went off. U.S. officials had been watching him, but Fox News’ sources insist the U.S. had nothing to do with his death.
Al-Qahtani was “a vibrant guy linked to ongoing operations planning, and his death will have an impact,” one official told Fox News.

we’re just lucky sometimes most of these tools are complete morons and/ or living in backwards near primitive societies. the smart ones take down towers- and most of those the west educated .
the second video reminded me of children being booby trapped with explosives in viet nam. war isn’t a social services expedition. who wants to kill a child but what if you have to? what soldiers have to go through people not involved have no idea. talk about courageous restraint- imagine being confronted with a child hurling grenades at you or babies wired to blow up?
Two of my all time favorites are:
1. Motorcycle suicide bomber in Afghanistan t-bones NATO armored vehicle in a convoy, bounces off and doesn’t blow up, goes to get up out of the street and his bomb detonates killing him only while the convoy blows by without stopping and no harm to them.
2. In Afghanistan, a car with 4 suicide bombers (each one had a vest on) on their way to target US troops blows up while one of them was believed to be fidgeting with his bomb. All were killed except for one who crawls away. Nearby US troops come to investigate. See injured man and approach to render aid. Upon seeing him with a suicide vest and trying to detonate it, promptly fill his head with lead.

Of course I’m insane, it becomes more clear to me every day. And when I read stories like this I end up screaming incoherently and running around the living room smashing things with a ball peen hammer. Quite obviously, I’m the one who is insane. The “US officials had been WATCHING HIM?!” They knew where he was? He is defined as Al Qaeda, a bad guy, someone we are “allowed” to call “terrorist”. They knew he was “linked to ongoing operations” and his “death will have an impact…” And They Were Watching Him And They Did Not Kill Him?! And They Were Watching Him, and They Knew Where He Was, BECAUSE They Were Watching Him, BUT, they weren’t the ones who killed him!? Why not? Well, quite obviously. I’m totally insane. I do not understand the simplest things any more. We are NOT at war while we are at war. And we do not, under any circumstances, KILL the enemy. It’s just not done. No. Just not done. I am, quite clearly, completely insane.
It is an outrage Obama has not apologized for the Nayif Al-Qahtani incident yet. Whoops, my bad, it’s the weekend, he’s playing golf, I guess it will come Monday morning. Tuesday he’ll blame Bush.
