Bob Cusak says if the Langolier in Chief doesn’t fire McChrystal over his remarks it will make him (the Langolier) appear weak. Me thinks if he fires the General he will look like a petulant puss. The General, after all, was telling it like it is. Whoops, maybe he didn’t see the ass kicking Barton got last week and so didn’t learn his lesson like a good little boy and just keep his mouth shut if it isn’t in the interest of the LIC.
Sorry, but I don’t feel sorry for McChrystal here. So far, he’s proven himself to be a mediocre general who’s yet to show much progress in Afghanistan. He seems to be typical of the officer class that was advanced during the Clinton Administration in the 90′s–good at cocktail parties but not so good at producing results in the field. Besides, by his own admission, the general voted for Obama. That alone makes me pause and wonder.
Tis true of course. The point however, is: dissent = you get disappeared. I seem to recall it taking several months to get additional military deployed and then it was far less than originally requested and then it was treated as a favor and oh yeah – included a caveat that we’ll start pulling out as soon as we get everybody over there. That’s doesn’t sound like support to me. That said, I get the whole “military isn’t to diss the assministration”….but LOOK at this guy and his goons in the white house. Good God. NOBODY respects this guy and I’m sure we are all quite sure the feeling is more than mutual. The enemy is licking their chops waiting to strike this country and the Once is chopping off heads and in general slashing the military overall. I think HE is the one who is sorta good at cocktail parties and not much else (except setting America on fire of course and maybe basketball).
I am surprised that a man that would say the things McChrystal did made it to the rank of general. #1 command rule, you don’t criticize your superiors. Not that I disagree with McChrystal. It just puzzles me that he would make the remarks. Tried to get a full bird colonel I know to say something bad about Clinton during the height of the scandalous Clinton years, but never a word against the Commander in Chief. No matter what the colonel thought of him.
imagine if the military had been insubordinate to hitler early and often?
urkel might just be the exception to the rule. the idea that anyone thought he could be commander in chief- he’s acting about as close to treasonous as possible and it was entirely to be expected. the democrats should have never allowed for his nomination and congress needs to stop enabling him and start the prosecutions.
the focus should not be on any general but on urkel and impeaching him.
The more military personnel going up against Obama the tyrant-in-chief the better, they should be removing him and all of the dems from office and charging them with treason
