    Tammy. Great show.

Not sure if you heard, but unfortunately Dr. Laura Schlessinger is ending her radio show at the end of the year. She made the announcement on Larry King Live. She will end her show so that she could speak more openly and as she put it “regain her first amendment rights.” This all stems from last week’s “controversy” with a caller. It would be interesting to hear your take on this. Maybe we can have a special podcast on this issue with Dr. Laura herself!

Dr. Laura Ending Her Radio Show

It’s a sad day in radio land.

    • brandonj says:

I’ll miss Dr. Laura-she tells it like it is and doesn’t worry about political correctness. She has a point about the N-word, but the leftist moonbats don’t listen and just label her a racist. The next time a rapper or other celebrity of dark complexion uses the N-word, I expect an equal amount of outrage! Of course, it won’t happen. Dr. Laura advocates that people grow up and take responsibility for their lives, she calls abortion “killing,” thinks parents should put their children before their own selfish desires and doesn’t listen to endless whining and excuses. She is so antithetical to everything the moonbats stand for that they can’t wait for any opportunity to try to discredit her. I really hope she’ll consider going Commando like Tammy did. I think she would find PLENTY of support. As it is, I have to go online to hear her, because the leftists here in the DC area won’t put her on the airwaves-so it wouldn’t be a change for me, or many others out there.

      • Chuck says:

I agree Brandon. I had the chance to see her live on stage, in her “one-woman show” as she calls it, and it was wonderful. She lets it all out on the show (much more than on the radio!), tastefully of course, but with a healthy dose of snark and humor. I’m sure she will be around for a long time.

  4. The Ugly American says:

Hi, my name is Sydney and SQUIRREL!!!

    • Tammy says:

Yep, you can see the SQUIRREL!! in her eyes, can’t you? it’s that sorta crazed, focused Banshee look. LOL!

      • KatieSilverSpring says:

I know well the look and how I must strengthen my wrist muscles when it comes to the fore, while walking two dogs on leashes in a city. Or, how I must repaint my window sills (no matter which level of this 4 story house) due to squirrel alerts when Stella and Cloud see one in the big oak out front; this tree is as high as the house, and beyond, so no matter what floor the pups are on, any squirrel movements are an immediate draw, or claw.

But what a beautiful dog, Sydney has become!

  5. TwoLegsGood says:

Lord God I’m drowning in work but love these 3rd hrs, thank you Tammy. What a heroic shot of Sydney and what a beautiful coat she has, interesting markings. Funny about Christine Lund. She was quite the LA icon. Nice Frenchie song, too.

  6. Maynard says:

I’m curious how Palin will handle Sharron Angle. Palin is aware that what she does will affect not only Angle but herself. Every step Palin takes is a political bet, with potential payoff or loss. If Palin campaigns for Angle and Angle wins, Palin’s status is enhanced. You get enough of those victories under your belt and it’s perceived that maybe you made a difference in the outcome, and Republican politicians, including RINOs, will stumble over each other to be on your good side. On the other hand, if Palin backs Angle and Angle loses, Palin will be perceived as being a step closer to the ignorable fringe. This is a high-profile case, so Palin will be carefully contemplating these issues.

From my point of view, although I still don’t see Palin as a good presidential candidate, I am very interested in her political endorsements. I figure anyone she endorses will do more good than harm. I appreciate that Palin is realistic enough to make alliances with people who tend a bit to the RINO side. The RINOs are a reality, and we must work with them, even at the cost of compromise; if we wait for a non-RINO majority, we’ll lose the country in the meantime. That’s my pragmatic opinion; curse me for it if you must.

As far as Socialist Security goes…Angle and Tammy have spoken of privatization, which I’d like to see. But my fear is the opposite will happen. As Social Security goes broke, Washington will turn a greedy eye toward private IRAs and 401-k’s and other pension assets. There will be a call to bring those investments into the fold. It may be phrased as a way of protecting the assets…with the volatile markets, pension funds must be invested in safe government bonds. This is all for your own good, you understand. Freedom, you see, is a dangerous thing. The endgame is to force private pensioners into the bankrupt Social Security Trust Fund, so they can be looted for the sake of political cronies to keep the game going for a little while longer. When people get scared and start demanding their Socialist Security checks, you know the government is going to again scapegoat “the rich”. Your lifetime nest egg is a tempting plum that’s ripe for public harvest. Take that, capitalist pig! You can’t reasonably expect to hold onto to your ill-gotten gains when others need it more than you do.

NV Senate: Reid (D) 47% Angle (R) 47% (she’s not perfect but we need Reid GONE) http://tinyurl.com/RR1920

      • Mrs. Malcontent says:

Reid has an unlimited supply of money courtesy of the unions to run libelous and inaccurate commercials against Sharron Angle. She has a tough road ahead of her. I would not put anything past the Dingy One, especially as we get closer to election day. I am not hopeful for Ms. Angle’s chances of winning. I wish things could be different, but I have to be realistic. The unions in Nevada are powerful and have a huge amount of cash to manipulate things.

The Republican’s motto is (or should be) “No we won’t (commit national suicide)!” on the other hand, Benito Obama thinks that “Yes we can!”, IS inspiring? Someone should remind him that it is merely an oft repeated line, plagiarized from the kid’s cartoon, “Bob the Builder”.
