The process of drug valuation is more quantitative in the United Kingdom, where regulators have a system to compare the clinical benefit of a drug to its price. The National Institute for Clinical Excellence uses a system called the Quality Adjusted Life Years measurement, which sets the value of a year of healthy living at between $31,000 and $47,000. So even if a drug prolongs a patient’s life, the British National Health Service typically won’t cover the medicine if it costs more than that amount. (In breast cancer patients, Avastin appears to extend life by at most five months. The NHS doesn’t cover its use for most diseases.)

Regarding the death panals, it’s unfortunate no one would listen that universal health care will result in denial of health care. Both my parents have had procedures that have improved their lives considerably. I’m so angry right now. I think it’s going to take a massive revolution to stop this crap. There such a disconnect between the American public and government. I think that’s our saving grace. But why does sh*t have to hit the fan before people realize what’s going on? I tell my parents all the time, that you have to be cognizant of the officials you’re electing. Because this has massive consequences for YOU and the entire country. Now they realize the mistake they made in electing Obama. I just don’t want mass suffering.
My own view is very much like yours. In addition I see something looming that darkens my own view considerably. I’m hoping I’m wrong but more and more the pieces fall into place confirming the picture like a jigsaw puzzle coming together.
A recent clarification of the Svensmark theory for me is the latest piece.
In short, if you see this winter start (maybe early) and become the most vicious winter ever, it may be the start of an ice age that would possibly have short breaks in it at 20 or 30 years and about 100 years and descend by plateaus into a 70,000 year glaciation period. I have the benefit of links at iceagenow.com to get me to this insight. NASA announcements and news events have just been confirming it almost weekly. Ironic I think, considering the ongoing, evolving, dodgy, “global warming” \ CO2 \ “climate change” mutations of the cap and trade money grab.

Fellow extremists? To revere our Constitution and be a mainstream middle American in a tradition of principles, valuing a free capitalist Republic, work ethics, private property and other rights including those noted in the Bill Of Rights, and others as well perhaps, to even know these things, to quote the Constitution, is to be seen as an extremist, maybe even to be considered a possible terrorist through the current Democrat world view.
