In a Computer Worm, a Possible Biblical Clue
Deep inside the computer worm that some specialists suspect is aimed at slowing Iran’s race for a nuclear weapon lies what could be a fleeting reference to the Book of Esther, the Old Testament tale in which the Jews pre-empt a Persian plot to destroy them.
That use of the word “Myrtus” — which can be read as an allusion to Esther — to name a file inside the code is one of several murky clues that have emerged as computer experts try to trace the origin and purpose of the rogue Stuxnet program, which seeks out a specific kind of command module for industrial equipment.
Not surprisingly, the Israelis are not saying whether Stuxnet has any connection to the secretive cyberwar unit it has built inside Israel’s intelligence service. Nor is the Obama administration, which while talking about cyberdefenses has also rapidly ramped up a broad covert program, inherited from the Bush administration, to undermine Iran’s nuclear program. In interviews in several countries, experts in both cyberwar and nuclear enrichment technology say the Stuxnet mystery may never be solved.

How cool is that!!! They are waiting for Palin, I know it. That was the first thing that popped in my head when I read it, gave me goose bumps too.
I’m sure it wasn’t us because we would have put a reference to our leader (Balaams Ass).
Esther stopped a plot that would have caused the destruction of the Jews…
Jeanee, I know what you are referring to, (having nearly OD’d on the prophetic movement — a movement that Sarah Palin needs to totally distance herself from btw, they are elitist cons on the Right)
… but I highly doubt that Israeli Military Intelligence units are thinking about Sarah Palin.
(The word “Myrtus” or Myrtle or anyone with Jewish friends who have mothers or grandmothers in Hadassah it all means “Esther”.)
This reference is a simply a way to name this computer code for what it needs to do… STOP the annihilation of the Jews. SO COOL.
the name is far more complicated- Esther is a Hebrew variant of Astar ie Ishtar- it means star. Ishtar was associated with the planet Venus (aka the ‘morning star’) , love and the evergreen shrub Myrtle, associated with the goddess Venus. evergreens are important to religions based on sacrifice of a male ‘king’- hence pine cones being all over babylonian/persian art. after the sacrifice they live forever and their sacrifice ‘ saves’ their tribe or all of mankind.
Jahweh is not mentioned even once in the Book of Esther because the Elamite Jews were fertile crescent pagans at that point worshipping Marduk and Ishtar. the book and Purim are a variant of the sacrifice of the male king, chosen by lots (which is why Purim is the Feast of Lots-a common ancient middle eastern religious motif) to the goddess Ishtar vis à vis her representative on earth- a priestess who takes her name . the Book of Esther admits this much- she was born Hadassah( seen to mean joy, bride, and Esther in currant usage) but takes the name Esther/Ishtar to represent the goddess’s intercession. she “lies with”with Haman( Esther 7:8)( or it’s alleged he tried to) who because of her bidding or choice takes the place of Mordecai/Marduk for whom the gallows was meant. Haman is given a last supper then hanged( and the only tree that will take his body is a thorn tree . variants of the name Myrtle mean ‘crown of thorns’). his flesh is symbolically eaten( HAMANtaschen or ears of Haman, oznei haman). the Jews are saved.
many of the psalms of praise in the old testament are lifted from Babylonian prayers to Ishtar, the Light of the World, word for word. it’s not mine to say why. it’s merely an observation.
I’d be curious to know which of the Davidic psalms were lifted word for word from Ishtar worship. I highly doubt this Theirry. Considering… oh say Psalm 2 and how so many of the Psalms are prophetic and how, as a random example, that Psalm 22 describes in detail of how the Roman soldiers cast lots for Jesus’ robe while He hung on the Cross. It is also misnomer to say that Jews at any time were capital “P” Pagan, considering God’s firm hand upon them at all time, including the Babylonian captivity, something that the Jewish prophets had been warning and warning and warning and warning was coming unless the Jews woke up and shook off their spiritual indolence/spiritual whoredom (of worshipping other Gods). The Jews of the Old Testament and in many ways, the modern Jews are like a window into how God works in and through His chosen people.
Though as a Christian, I know some of the blessings and logistics of how God works and sparks us — are found in the Old Testament. For example, in the book of Esther is the idea that “Who knows but for this day you were born?” when Mordecai was encouraging his niece Esther to pray and fast and perhaps God would use her to help the Jewish people. I believe this is how God views many today… Tammy is one of these.
