The polls have closed in Delaware and New Hampshire. Seven state in all have contests, on this last primary night before the mid-term on November 2. Please use this as your Open Thread for the evening, and I’ll post information as it becomes available. Chris is coming over for dinner and studio check tonight, and I want to be able to provide some analysis in tonight’s 3rd Hour when it comes to results.

I do think Delaware is the ultimate cliffhanger. It could go either way, so hang on tight, lots to come.

UPDATE: A little late LOL! But obviously we have terrific victory in Delaware! It’s about 850pm PT, and I’m getting ready to do the 3rd Hour podcast. Dan Riehl of Riehl World View, another supporter of Christine joins me to discuss tonight’s incredible results.

CNN: Tea Party favorites win GOP primaries in Delaware, New York

Michelle Malkin: Rove bashes O’Donnell; O’Donnell supporter at victory party strikes back; NRSC cuts and runs; Update: Soros Republican Castle won’t back O’Donnell

    Go Christine!

  2. Bash1955 says:

    lets get this show rolling!

  3. Palin2012 says:

Yep – I so hope that we can yell – HOO RAA! for Christine tonight and tell the good old boys to get ready! There’s a new trooper in town and more are on their way!

  4. Bash1955 says:

send another message to the RHINOS by way off Palin

  5. LJZumpano says:

NY is due to have problems because of the new voting system started today, and a tradition of having mostly really senior citizens handling the process. We’ve always had a lever system which is pretty easy to use. Now you have a ballot you need to mark, slip it into a folder, put that in a scanner, wait for the scanner to register green which tells you the vote is okay, and if you make a mistake, you need to figure out the next step. Then you return the folder to the main desk. If there aren’t major snafus, then the fix is in for sure. If something goes wrong they need to phone for help which may or may not be able to be provided via a phone call. Since primaries aren’t esp. high turnout, it will be interesting to see how the state handles it. A lot of unruly peasants are heading out to vote in November, and there may be blood if the system doesn’t work well.

  6. IloiloKano says:

I honestly don’t know who I want to win this race. I agree with the Doctor Zero’s Swords of Delaware online commentary, except for his speculative guess as to who he would support if pressed.

If I had to make a decision, I’d go with O’Donnell.

My sincere hope is that whoever loses immediately endorses the winner, and that the winner would be O’Donnell.

  7. Bash1955 says:

any link to the seven palin races tammy was talking about?

  8. RuBegonia says:

My chips are on the table…now.. deal me some cards!

  9. IloiloKano says:

It’s absolutely impossible for me to connect to http://elections.delaware.gov/results/html/election.shtml

Is this an indicator of how important this race truely is?

  10. MaryVal says:

I would really really like to see Christine O’D win if for no other reason than to send ANOTHER Big Fat Message to the Republican Party machine. The last three days I have been hearing/reading the punditry screech YOU MUST VOTE FOR CASTLE. CASTLE IS CONSERVATIVE ENOUGH. CASTLE IS THE BEST YOU CAN HOPE FOR. YOU MUST VOTE FOR HIM. Well no you morons, we don’t have to vote for the Selected RINO. We are DONE voting for RINOs. We are DONE with compromise voting. We WILL have true conservatives. I want to see every single lifetime party RINO hack thrown out on their big fat keisters. And I want to see them BOUNCE when their keisters hit the pavement. The chatter has made me angrier than ever, can you tell :^) Don’t tell me what to do you morons. Who the h*ll do you think you are.

    • IloiloKano says:

“to send ANOTHER Big Fat Message to the Republican Party machine”

You and me both, though I’m just a tad less enthused. ;)

    • BastiatFan says:

Can you believe the viciousness of the attacks on Christine? I can’t get over it.

No thanks, boys. I only vote for CONSERVATIVES.

      • vitadMD says:

Hi, BastiatFan! and yes, I cannot believe the viciousness! It really is stunning what is coming out of the mouths of people like Rove, Fund, Perino, even John Batchelor who, now that O’Donnell has won, as a matter of fact, say it’s over, Delaware is lost, the Senate will not be overtaken. Rove was particularly hostile in trashing her character and credibility… my God, what in the world has this woman done to deserve such venom and mockery???

        • ancientwrrior says:

She dared challenge the aristocracy that’s what. Hopefully by this November we can shove all their crap right back down their throats!

        • TheresaMC says:

Agreed. I heard Rove and he is pissed!….Well, I am PISSED right back. I happened to catch Medved, in the car, and he was chattering the same lines. RINOs are what got us to where we are now. The Repubs and the Dems moved to the left. The Dems are now Lefties and the Repubs are Moderates (little lefties).

No more RINOs. I said tonight If we are going to die I want it to be fast. So, if we vote in the RINOs then we die in 5 years or according to them we will die in the next couple years. Well then so be it because I am sick of compromising my values!

        • BastiatFan says:

Rove’s attack on the Hannity show was breathtaking, but not surprising. Dana Perino, on the other hand, REALLY disappointed me. And for all the anti-Hannity folks, I think you have to admit he was pretty steadfast in his support of Christine against the “machine” types.

And what has she done to deserve the venom? She stood up against the good old boys.

          • Carol says:

Yes, Sean did well. Now if he would at least stop referring to him fawningly as “the architect”, I could try watching regularly again, maybe.

  11. IloiloKano says:

There’s been no update since Tammy went to walk Sydney and she asked DE to stop countng until she got back. I think they heard her. :)

  12. Carol says:

Helping someone is ‘self-indulgent’?? Voting for or $upporting someone that shares my foundational values is irresponsible? No, that’s Fraudian psycho-babble Krauthammer. I know I shouldn’t take his condescending remarks personal, so I’ll just leave it at Tammy’s diagnosis of PDS.
    GO Sarah and Christine!

    • bachmann2012 says:

Krauthammer bashed DeMint for the same thing. Plus, he has always favored Palin over Democrats (he skewered Biden in 2008), that I have heard. I don’t think its PDS. If it were, then I would be an elitist PDSer like Krauthammer for having an inherent distrust of Palin’s economic conservatism due to her support for TARP, and liking Bachmann and West as more articulate.

Sorry for the rant, but I had to get that off my chest.

The important thing for tonight is that Sarah gets it right 95% of the time on the issues/endorsements, and Christine is an example of that. Keep that lead O’D!

      • Carol says:

No problem. Maybe you just have PIDS (ID= inherent distrust) which is less severe than PDS. I’m not a doctor, only play one on the internet.
        They WON! :o

        • bachmann2012 says:

“I’m not a doctor, only play one on the internet.”

Yes, but with Obamacare, both jobs will pay about the same.

        • bachmann2012 says:

FYI, I don’t have an inherent distrust for her overall, just economically–and a bit fiscally. I trust her overall. I like her overall. I just like other people (Bachmann, Haley, Miller, and West only) better. I just really doubt her economic and fiscal conservatism when in a crisis situation that requires a snap decision. If she were in a situation where she had to plan to cut taxes and spending as a proposal for a campaign, I would trust her, because she’s done that. If the banks failed again, or another big segment of our economy failed, I would not put my trust in her that she would not bail out that segment.

  13. IloiloKano says:

jimgeraghty just tweeted “Anybody want to call it for O’Donnell?”

  14. jll101 says:

Looks like the Sarahcuda may have bagged one more to finish off RINO season!

  15. IloiloKano says:

AP calls it for Christine O’Donnell!

    AND

Politico calls it for Christine O’Donnell!

  16. bachmann2012 says:

    Yes! Let’s win in November!

  17. avidfan09 says:

I’m beyond happy for Christine and the positive changes happening… :)

  18. crl100 says:

    on to New Hampshire!

  19. Artgal says:

    YES!!!!

    Take THAT, RINOs!

  20. Mrs. Malcontent says:

Is that “NO RINOS” available as a bumper sticker?

  21. DouggieJ says:

    Thank God Christine won!

I’m hoping my more tea-party candidates I voted for in New York will win too.

I had no problems with the new scanner system, I hated those old clunky machines.

  22. Artgal says:

Can I borrow a jackhammer from a TAM? I’d like to show Karl Rove what ‘shove it’ means…

Did anyone else see him on Hannity?

    • Carol says:

Yes I did. I’ve never seen him rip into anyone like that before. I’d like to help with your demonstration!
Rove’s part of why I typically don’t watch Hannity.

    • IloiloKano says:

Yes, I saw him. When he said, “I’m for the Republican”, I thought, “There’s the difference. I’m for the Conservative!”

      • Artgal says:

This just in: the NRSC announced they are NOT going to help O’Donnell! That means we need to line up the troops and start donating like crazy to her campaign! This is war with the GOP – and we’re going to smear these bastards!

        • Artgal says:

As a result of this bs from the NRSC, my mother just called from the midwest and said she is changing her party affiliation to Independent after 45 years in the GOP. That’s what needs to be done! I hope anyone who is a Republican will switch to Independent or No Party – anything but GOP at this point – heck, even being a registered Democrat! Just make sure of your state’s requirements on how much time before an election you have for changing.

          • IloiloKano says:

“Once upon a time, a group of progressives infiltrated the GOP. One day Patriots rode in & took their party back. The end.” – Words of wisdom by Anita Moncrief

    • Joel267 says:

I was watching it. I couldn’t believe it, I don’t think Sean could either. Unbelievable. WTF Karl? Don’t be such a sore loser. Castle was the one R that voted to impeach your boss.

      THANK YOU DELAWARE!!!

  23. Rob_W says:

    THANK YOU, DELAWARE!

Special thanks to Tammy Bruce, Mark Levin, Sarah Palin, and all the contributors for supporting Christine!

  24. Southrider says:

Rove slammin the winner in Del on Fox. Whadda douche! These big money old school repubulilbs are as much American nomenklatura as the Klintons and probably have a lot more affinity for their fellow political class members than those of us shoppin’ at Wallyworld. The party will never get another penny from me.

  25. BillBowen says:

Can we have a nice rousing rendition of Queen’s “Another One Bites The Dust”? People, now is the time to keep the accelerator full to the floor – no letup between now & November 2nd.

  26. ckreider says:

In Delaware we’re makin’ rhino stew Alaska style. Thanks to all the TAMs for your support of Christine!

  27. DouggieJ says:

Looks like Paladino is kicking Lazio’s ass for NY Governor!

  28. IloiloKano says:

Carl Rove should look on the bright side. Now, he won’t have to keep kissing Castle’s RINO ass in order to keep him from switching parties.

  29. IloiloKano says:

    I think this means WAR!

Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) just tweeted “Are you kidding? NRSC not supporting O’Donnell in Delaware in general? NRSC, GIRD YOUR LOINS.”

Anyone got a link for the NRSC saying that?

  30. Kelly says:

Krauthammer, Rove, The NRSC, et al, are all making my part Sicilian blood boil. (As anyone who’s seen me on Twitter tonight can attest.) I said it there and I’ll say it here: if the GOP keeps this up, they will go the way of the Whigs. Frankly, that sounds fine with me.

  31. BillBowen says:

Kelly, it is time to start assembling ropes for the so-called “leadership” of the Republican Party. We must redouble our efforts to get rid of ALL the RINOs in the Republican Party ASAP.

  32. jeaneeinabottle says:

Rove better go to Costco and stock up on those diapers because we are going to find out WHAT THEY HAVE BEEN DOING and he’s going to need them. They better take a DEEP breath before they open their mouth anymore because it’s not looking good when they do. Already had Ingrahm attack us about how WE should act and what WE should do, lol. Great job guys, they don’t know what just happened! BOO!!!!

  33. morecowbell says:

First Kraut… then Dana Perino, Karl Rove and the NRCC not supporting Christine…. because of “strategery”…. LOL… WOW… this is great !! They still don’t see it coming and they still don’t get it. This movement is not about an electable moderate in a blue state, stopping the Obama agenda or even ‘throwing the bums out’… it’s about taking back what is rightfully ours. The Scott Brown election put the democrats on notice and Christine O’Donnell, whether she wins the general or not, has put the fear of God into every heart of every RINO. Tonight a whole slew of conservative candidates became inspired and were delivered the message that the people have their back. This is where victory lies. I have to laugh though, the irony is rich… without George Bush making it possible for Obama to become president, we may have never have had our voices heard as loud as they were tonight.. thank you Delawarians!!!!

  34. JuanitaDugas says:

Happy day, Christine beats the pants off Castle! Hat tip to you Tammy for your support.

  35. naga5 says:

    hey kids,
i gotta tell you, there is NOTHING like a trip to the gym, a workout with tammy’s podcast from this afternoon and seeing in real time the race go to o’donnell!
    eleventy!!1!11!!!1!
thanks, delaware! RINOs to the endangered species list and now, it’s showtime!
i see november from here and charles, dana, karl and NRCC,
    you’ll be hearing from us.
    rick

  36. Foreverautumn says:

I agree that this is a good start, but we need to recognize that this is JUST a start. We need to keep the pressure up, on the MSM, on the Dems, and on these remaining establishment RINOS. We have to keep our focus on November now, and then KEEP UP the pressure. We’re like Sisyphus – we are condemned to constantly roll that boulder up that hill; we’re going to have to keep holding these people’s feet to the BLAST FURNACE!

It’s going to be a never-ending uphill battle, but someone said the price for freedom is eternal vigilance. We didn’t get into this complete mess we’re in overnight, and we’re certainly not going to get this mess cleaned up overnight, either. Ask any mother – it’s far quicker and easier to make a mess than to clean it up, but clean it up we WILL!

  37. BarbaraM says:

Just heard on radio in Chicago:
Christine wins, and Democrats are delighted….can you believe the MSM is spinning it that the Tea Party shot the Republican Party in the foot? I am ready to barf.
Also I checked the Democrats results, and most incumbents are being retained, even Charlie Rangel. What happened to the uprising against incumbents overall…just not seeing it in the Democrats out East. Must be happy or lazy.

  38. TwoLegsGood says:

For some reason, I had on Rachel Maddow and it was wonderful to see her announce to the three Demonrats: Lawrence ODonnell/Keith O/Chrissie M that AP called the race for Christine. The spin came out of L. ODonnell’s mouth immediately: that this was a gift for the Delaware Democrats and Democrats in general. Christine needs to prepare for crucifixion… The dire look on those boyz faces was really funny.

  39. naga5 says:

well, twolegs, ya better have a good reason for viewing msnbc! ;-)
i watched rove’s bit on hannity. i have already emailed him about that.
i saw O’Donnell’s victory speech over castles made of sand. gotta watch it till the end, if ya know what i mean!
man, am i ticked off! NO ONE should tell you how to vote (winners or losers), or how to feel (you are too stupid to know how to run a country) or how to live (liberty or tyranny)!
she has got to win now to send the message, we are not just “bitter clinging rubes”! we will repeal or retire!
    rick

  40. ancientwrrior says:

Those fools don’t know what a big can of WHOOP ASS they just opened. They drank to much of their own I.D.10.T. crap. :)

  41. TheresaMC says:

    NO MORE RINOs!!!!!

We have to know what we believe and not compromise our values.

    Go Christine!!!

    Now we pony-up the $$$$$

  42. Shifra says:

Which wine goes with rino meat, red or white? Just asking :)

  43. Chuck says:

Tonight, in honor of Christine’s victory, I had great Italian food — now I need some good Irish whiskey to cover both bases.

It’s definitely open season on the Rhinos … and on the GOP establishment. I can’t believe the venom coming from our so called leaders.

  44. Crueladev says:

    Ayotte in NH.. Victory???…over 1200 votes ahead 80% reporting…
Stick it Laura Ingraham! Shove your pathetic self absorbed tweets up
    your RINO backside!

    • Sam Joe says:

Hey now, let’s play nice. We don’t need to “stick it” to other commentators/pundits. Laura Ingraham is top shelf and even had Tammy fill-in from time to time when she had to be away.

      • Crueladev says:

nope…don’t like her..she talks out both sides of her mouth…no respect for that type of person!

        • Chuck says:

Agree with Cru. I’m done with her as well. Her support of Castle, a person with a RINO track record, was the final nail in the coffin. She did not need to support him or her for that matter, but she expressed her opinion: now, take the consequences.

If Christine loses in November, fine, the seat will remain a Democrat seat, so nothing is lost. That’s the will of the voters in NH.

    • bachmann2012 says:

If Laura Ingraham is a RINO, then every person in the Republican party is.

  45. Sam Joe says:

    Sarah Palin does it again.

  46. ffigtree says:

In this article Castle and Murkowski are complaining of outside influences in the race. It is amazing to me that WE THE PEOPLE are considered “outside influences” and ” an outside extremist group”. The deadwood of both parties need to lead, follow or get out of the way!

  47. DianeRoberts says:

Castle is a good ole boy whose angry because he lost. Boo Hoo! He’s a corrupt piece of slime who doesn’t give a damn about the citizens of Delaware. THE VOTERS IN DELAWARE HAVE AWAKENED TO SEE THE TRUTH! Thank you Delaware. :)

I don’t trust any of the dems. NONE!

Karl Rove showed HIS TRUE COLORS ON HANNITY. He’s a jerk.

The REPUBLICANS say they WILL NOT back Christine. Oh really?

“WE THE PEOPLE” will save our country.

    Go Christine!

  48. naga5 says:

Well, rove or his peeps emailed me back. he repeated his hannity talking points. I asked the very points tammy made on last nights podcast. If she is duly primaried, how about supporting her? I’ll correspond so you don’t have to!
