Tammy has talked a lot about the issue of RINOs versus conservatives, and the danger of compromise. Quite honestly, I’m conflicted. The world is such a mess that I figure I’m compromised right from the start. I’m painfully aware that the leadership I really want is probably unelectable. And it’s a simple truth that there are times when “best” is the enemy of “better”. So I allow for the possibility that some of the people branded as RINOs will, when push comes to shove, be allies rather than enemies. Just as the “blue dogs” have enabled Obama rather than pulled him back to sanity.
The Democrats, and some Republican Party hacks, tell us that Tea Party Republicans are unelectable, and we would be wiser to run a more centrist (or, if you prefer, compromised) candidate. Tammy says that, with the fate of the nation hanging in balance, this is a moment for truth and boldness rather than compromise.
You know what? I don’t know! My heart and my gut is with Tammy, but my head has doubts.
I guess the bottom line is it doesn’t matter what I think. The Democrats have betrayed the nation, every one of them. The Republicans, whose fingerprints are likewise all over the disaster, obviously need fresh blood and an attitude adjustment. I want to see the Tea Party candidates ascend, but we will ultimately require the cohesion of the Republican Party.
I think Sarah Palin is setting the perfect political tone. There are plenty of people that ridicule and despise her, and that’s a frustrating reality. I would take issue with some of Palin’s goals, but we hear for ourselves that her message is one of overwhelming positivity. Palin may have enemies, but she trying very hard not to make enemies.
with the right leadership the RINOS are more likely to be more easily persuaded to stop aiding and abetting urkel’s robot congress slaves. look how effectively nancy-pants pelosi cracked the whip over her bitches- she got everything odious passed via any means necessary . they devolved into a quivering mound of unified jelly and did whatever she told them to. the republicans couldn’t even manage to reign in the damaged duo of the twin Mainiacs while republican ‘leaders’ like mittens were clucking unconvincingly about how romneycare was good but maybe obamacare, the exact same thing, was bad.. .
the less rinos and the more people with an mandate from the electorate to stop this crazy thing the more likely the leadership will be forced to step up or step aside. i suspect that’s how the founders expected things should be. clearly ,they forgot about term limits but then again they never met a teddy kennedy or bobby ‘ am i dead yet?’ byrd. a big ship going full bore is not easy to turn around- let alone brake. it’s going to take some time and there will be disappointments but even the democrats are blanching at urkel and their own party, a plus no matter if it may be mostly pathetic pandering or abject fear.
i highly doubt scott brown ,who seems slightly more republican (or at least willing to showboat in a more free ranging pattern) than the Mainiacs, once he’s no longer a critical vote will be as slobbered on by the left or as free to prance about helping the destruction here and there as the fancy takes him. maybe if his esteemed idol juanito mccain told him he looked like a cheap whore out slutting it up bike riding with john kerry… make them cry and obey just like nancy did. can we start stepping on the turncoats a tad in a time of such crisis ,you old broke down nags in congress ? sarah palin is showing leadership- that’s what is so shocking- why so many are taken aback by her. because none of these fools except the malignant, negative power hungry pelosi were really doing so. they all want to be in charge but hardly any of them can lead effectively and positively- which is what our political system has need all along. seeing that quality in reagan freaked them out and now its coming from a GIRL . oh, the humiliation for these sad old coots.
pretty girls make political graves- you betcha.
