Tammy Home from Chicago Update
by Tammy on November 14, 2010**UPDATE Monday evening: Do I dare say it? It seems the iTunes feed is up and running :) So far many reports of All Good. Last thing, some of your renewals in the last 5 days or so were not recognized by the new system, but the Humans saw them and whipped the new service into gear. If you renewed in the last week you will see that recognition kick in tonight.** ******** Hey everyone, just got back to the Power Shack just in time for “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” :) After I watch the show I’ll be doing the “Weekend Update” podcast. I also have received an update from Rachael who worked all weekend long. We knew the subscriber service...

TAM Podcast Feed for iTunes
by Rachael on November 14, 2010Good news! It’s Monday morning and the podcast feeds are back up. If yours wasn’t working before, it should be now. ****** **Update, Sunday evening** Unfortunately there is an issue we need to take care of regarding the feed links. A couple of glitches that didn’t affect everyone, but enough peeps where it needs to be addressed properly and right away. You won’t be able to find them at the moment while we work on a fix. We’ll let you know when you can access them again. This is a priority for Monday morning. As always, thank you for your patience! ****** Hi TAMs, Rachael here again. We finally have the paid subscriber podcast feed up and running, but the...

Quick Note from Tammy in Chicago
by Tammy on November 13, 2010Hi everyone, posting here from the Conservatives4Palin meetup in Chicago. I will have a more extensive post on the happenings here, but I did want to chime in about a couple of things. First, let me preface this post with a reminder that I love all TAMs and participants here at the Tammy Blog. But we’ve getting swamped with comments and emails asking questions that, well, have been answered, so I am posting one more time to make sure everyone gets theirs answers. Yes, there was no podcast for Friday as I was flying to Chicago for the C4P gathering. That is where I am right now. The Weekend Update and Palin Report will post tomorrow (Sunday) when I get...

Save the Earth With Toxic Reusable Shopping Bags
by Pat_S on November 13, 2010A post by Pat I wonder if the Greens see this as a save-the-Earth bonus. Not only are those reusable shopping bags cutting down on trash, they could be killing consumers. Toxic levels of lead have been measured in reusable grocery bags. This should come as no surprise since the bags are manufactured in China. Study shows reusable bags contain high levels of lead content. According to a study released by TEI Analytical, half of reusable shopping bags made with Non-Woven Poly Propylene (NWPP) contain an unhealthy amount of lead. Many of the bags that are supposed to save the planet contain more than 100 parts per million (PPM) of toxic heavy metals — violating state laws. The study tested...

“Somewhere Men are Laughing”* (The Mighty Obama Has Struck Out)
by Pat_S on November 12, 2010A post by Pat This is pathetic. No treaty with South Korea. Scoldings about QE2. Little support for his China policy. The final G20 document is meaningless fluff. This trip should end any doubt that Obama is no longer the international darling. Once there were cheering throngs. Now, failure and embarrassment. This exchange symbolizes the depth of the fall. Obama and the Chinese Reporter. Surprise!, it’s China and China will speak whether the American President likes it or not. In Asia, Obama sees progress in measured steps, no home run A defensive President Obama claimed progress Friday in a round of global economic talks that exposed discord over U.S. policy and doubts about American influence. Not every summit can be...

Obama’s Flip-flop on Outsourcing
by Pat_S on November 10, 2010A post by Pat They say travel broadens you. Apparently so. Obama’s trip to India seems to have changed his thinking about outsourcing. Democrats have been demonizing outsourcing at least since John Kerry’s campaign in 2004. We sure heard a lot from Democrats about the issue this election year. So much so that many Indian-Americans were motivated to raise money for Republicans. The US midterm elections: India, China and outsourcing become attack ad topics On the East End of Long Island in New York, Democratic Rep. Tim Bishop is accusing GOP candidate Randy Altschuler of shipping American jobs to India who in turn is saying that he created hundreds of jobs in the USA. In the Connecticut Senate race, Democrat...
