    I’ve been hearing about at least some of the recent proposals from the Republicans, Tammy, and they sound more like the scraper than the chainsaw. First $32 billion in cuts, and more recently $100 billion. That’s not enough. Try $500 billion. That would be a good start. We’re projected to have a $1,500 billion deficit this year. I *wish* the GOP would take out the chainsaw!

    Actually the picture depicting the two methods of GOP and Obama budget-cutting are inacurate: It should show a (non-locking) Leatherman tool for the GOP and the peeling knife for Obama. The GOP isn’t yet serious about stopping the deficit.
