The first person I thought of while listening to the very beginning of the opening music was Claudine Longet… . O_O
    How old am I!!

    • Tammy says:

      Wow, excellent catch!

      • dennisl59 says:

So THAT’S who at was? Wow. What was the name of the song Tammy?

        • Tammy says:

Actually, nope it wasn’t Claudine Longet, it just really *does* remind a person of her. The group is Nouvelle Vague. I like some of their stuff, not all.

          • Artgal says:

Thanks for the info – I need to find that song to download.

Also, any chance of getting the name of the song or artist who performs that way cool ambient/electronica piece that has the sexy saxophone groove before the beats kick in? There are no lyrics – just music. I’m not sure when it was played last or I’d refer you to it. Just dying to know what that song is. I have to have it, too!

          • jeweytunes says:

I definitely need the song with the saxophone intro, too. It’s been around a long time, and I’ve yet to find it. J

Rene Ellmers just joined the ranks of the K. Noem so-called tea party contingent by voting for CR in spite of the fact that it continues to fund Obamacare. I thought their mandate was to defund and kill in every manner possible.

    • Tammy says:

That is disappointing. Many newbies are still finding their way around. Let’s make sure Ellmers, whom is a classic Tea party patriot, knows how important it is to stand her ground in the future.

      • Artgal says:

We can give that message to Dave Schweikert of AZ, too. He’s a freshman who received the blessing of the tea party & a Palin endorsement. We knew there was going to be disappointment, but wow – it’s truly been one disappointment after another.

I’m thinking the only way to remind these people of what they have forgotten in less than 5 months of their victories (and less than 3 months of being sworn in) is to start holding some tea parties in front of their district offices and keep the heat on them as much as possible for the next 18 months.

We’re going to have to babysit the current newbie bunch while working our backsides off for new candidates in 2012 and hopefully, for the only person who generates excitement at the top of the GOP ticket – and it ain’t Newt, Mitt, Pawly, Huck the *uck, Crusty, etc.

      • srrchl says:

The word on the street is that Boehner, Cantor and McCarthy, the latter two, formerly the “Young Guns,” now officially the GOP Dumb Bastards or the Young, Flacid Penises, pressured the newbies to support the CR. Only 25% of the newbies opposed the measure, including Allen West and Jason Chafetz. They supported Michelle Bachmann’s vocal opposition. Say what you will about Bachmann, she didn’t cave. Classic tea party will be defined by actions, especially in the face of pressure. Would Palin have caved?

        • Artgal says:

I am aware that Bachmann and West were among those who didn’t cave and for that, they are to be applauded. Knowing Palin’s record, she would not have caved either.

Indeed, tea party will be defined by actions, and it is actions that draw my concern about Bachmann.

I have said over and over again – even in my criticism of Bachmann – that she has made decisions on which I support her. My critique of her is not based on what’s in the media or hearsay; it is based on her direct words & actions. Those who find ‘something’ not quite right about her are justified in their thinking.

Allow me to emphasize one more time: my criticism of Bachmann has nothing to do with Palin! I do not understand why criticism of Bachmann immediately brings up Palin. Why not Newt or Romney? On the other hand – Wouldn’t the GOP machine love to get conservatives fighting amongst themselves over Bachmann & Palin? It would be for the sake of distracting and perhaps causing a rift among the base making us look like freaks while they continue supporting Obama and making compromises appearing as though they are the ‘normal’ ones?

While we’re at it, one of the things I know Palin would NOT do is falsely accuse those of us who are gay as having a best friend in Fred Phelps/Westboro, and accusing us of working together w/ Westboro to make Christianity look bad. That falls under the ‘actions’ list, too, and unfortunately, it’s an action Bachmann took.

This is my first listen to your actual program. ‘have seen/heard you on a few occasions elsewhere; my impression was, ‘hey, this chick’s got it together’. Fabulous program! ‘nuf said.
Topic: Japan’s series of tragic events. The people of this noble and dynamic country are going to show US how the phoenix rises from the ashes. With regard to the nuclear power plant incidents, the American media has turned this into the same Barnum n Bailey Circus event as the gulf oil spill last year. Results will be similar…virtually, no harm, no foul. Having listened to several top nuclear physicists discuss the problem, my professional impression is that all will shake out just fine. Essentially, mother nature will take care of things OR otherwise, God designed this planet to heal itself. This will NEVER be a Chernobyl; the technology is so much more sophisticated. And if it ends like 3 mile island…NO PROBLEM-O. So, all you who fear the worst, sleep well. And when exposed to the lame stream media, insert index fingers snuggly into ear sockets and close eyes. THey are a greater danger to you than any NATURAL disaster.

I have been following Palin, reading, listening, disecting this woman for 2 years constant, she is the one. That TAM spat was too dramatic for me, she was too angry over Bachmann it had to be over other things. Some people can’t handle the truth because they have to be accoutable in their own lives and that’s hard to do so people quit or drop out. Palin raises the bar/standards on everything, people want the goodies without the work and we all know that is stealing, it’s wrong and doesn’t work. Tammy don’t take people leaving personally more will come, they see it bothers you too, if it was me I would just go, not email you, unless I had to because of the money being taken from my card. The games people play, they are mean and some people just want to hurt everyone. The best thing I like about you Tammy is your gage, it’s right on and it’s so simple to see, never stop.
