Conspiracies Left and Right
by Pat_S on April 30, 2011Rightwing conspiracy theorists were arguably disappointed this week with the release of the long-concealed birth certificate. Without much fanfare, the leftwing conspiracy theorists had a disappointment too. The Second Court of Appeals dismissed April Gallop’s case in which she claimed her and her child’s constitutional rights were violated when Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and others in the Bush administration— …caused the September 11, 2001 attacks “in order to create a political atmosphere in which they could pursue domestic and international policy objectives and to conceal the misallocation of $2.3 trillion in Congressional appropriations… Ms. Gallop was working in the Pentagon on 9/11. Her infant child was also on the premises. The Court concluded Ms. Gallop’s complaint—- …hypothesizes a fantastical alternative...

Feds To Give AZ & SD Union Thug Treatment
by Artgal on April 30, 2011Last Tuesday, Gov. Brewer released the following statement on her Facebook page:: “It looks like the feds are planning to sue Arizona again. The Arizona Constitution requires a secret ballot for employee representation. Unfortunately, the feds don’t agree and plan to sue. I believe the right to cast your vote without fear or intimidation is a fundamental tenant of our democracy. Arizonans should continue to have a constitutional right to a secret ballot for employees.” Though it was confirmed in local media the feds would indeed sue, I see this morning the news has gone national. The lawsuit is not reserved for Arizona only; no, South Dakota gets to share the limelight with us. Altogether, there were four states originally listed...

Who You Gonna Call? – USDA Warns Wisconsin
by Pat_S on April 30, 2011Only government workers can interview Food-Share applicants the USDA warns Gov. Walker of Wisconsin. Using private companies to determine who is eligible for food assistance could result in the state losing $20 million. Walker plan brings warning from USDA In an April 14 letter to state Health Services Secretary Dennis Smith and Children and Families Secretary Eloise Anderson, Ollice Holden, a Midwest administrator for the USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service, warned that the work of interviewing applicants and deciding who is eligible for the Wisconsin FoodShare program needs to be done by public workers who are essentially civil servants. If not, he said, the state could lose some of the federal funds supporting FoodShare, the successor in Wisconsin to the...

Border Security Games
by Pat_S on April 30, 2011Unlike the $1.99 Smuggle Truck game rejected by Apple, Sandia is being paid over a million dollars for a border security “game”. This innovative video game technology supposedly will aid decision making for allocation of border security resources. The last high tech approach to border security was a billion dollar flop. U.S. Border Patrol is Using Video Games Technology to Help Keep Border Safe After spending $1 billion on a virtual border fence that it does not plan to complete, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is investing another $1.6 million to test video game technology to help improve its decisions on where to spend its border security funds. Now, with funding from the DHS, Customs and Border Protection...

Assessing Brewer’s Veto of Health Insurance Legislation
by Artgal on April 29, 2011In a move that can only be described as alarming, Governor Brewer vetoed SB1593, the health insurance and interstate purchase legislation that would have opened business for health insurance to be purchased along state lines by Arizonans. Gov. Brewer’s reasoning on this matter is also baffling to say the least. She expressed concern that specific mandated coverage would be compromised if passed. What she failed to address were the thirty-three mandates imposed by the state that have increased insurance costs greatly right along with the opportunities illegals have taken to access medical care, for which they do not pay (it may come to an end in the next session), costing Arizona a whopping $4 billion a year (from illegals alone) according to a study conducted by Federation of American Immigration Reform (FAIR) and published by www.weneedafence.org on 2/24/2011. Gov....

The Official Tammy Blog Royal Wedding Post!
by Tammy on April 29, 2011**Bumped up** UPDATE Friday: Here’s a great collection of pics from the wedding. It was as beautiful as everyone had hoped for and it’s such a joy to see Diana’s son begin a marriage so obviously based in love and respect. For live interwebtube coverage of the wedding: The Royal Channel / YouTube Plus: Where To Watch The Royal Wedding? by Tammy on April 28, 2011Still, the release of this impressive and at least conceivably authentic document should be enough to finally get people to drop questions about whether or not Mr. Obama is American and get back to the more important questions.
