TAM and WP Log-In Advice
by Tammy on April 13, 2011We continue to work on a few buggy issues involved with the new site design and I wanted to give you some tips on how to solve some persistent issues. For subscribers, aka Tammy Army Members (TAMs), we get a lot of emails about what seems to be the inability to be signed in to the TAM system and WordPress at the same time. For some of you, you are signed in as a TAM and can’t Comment, or you can Comment in a post but can’t get premium material. The WP and TAM elements are two different systems, and we obviously want them to work in harmony but since that doesn’t seem to be happening right now we do...

A Fur, Fins and Feathers Break
by Pat_S on April 12, 2011Being a news junkie takes a toll on the nervous system. The world is a mess and there’s plenty to worry about. What a relief to come across some animal antics to soothe the soul today. Thought I’d share them with you. Cat and dolphins. (If you have any jokes about cat food, please keep them to yourself.) Watching the news getting to you? Switch over to the eagle hatchlings webcam. Eagle hatchery webcam and chat. Decorah, Iowa. The live video feed is streamed online 24/7. At night an infrared light provides night vision to viewers through the cam. Infrared light is not visible to eagles, they do not see it or know it is there. First hatch 4/2/11. 24-hour...

Today: 150th Anniversary of the Civil War
by Tammy on April 12, 2011The war that determined who we are as a people, physically and morally, today marks 150 years since the first shots were fired leading to the deadliest war in our history–600,000 Americans dead. A fight worth fighting, and we certainly are not going to be the generation that loses this nation, after such heroics to preserve her, to a political class made up of malignant narcissists, con men, and arrogant elitists. Here are some links for the day on our anniversary. And may God continue to embrace and bless all those who perished in the Civil War. Immigration Bills: How Far is Too Far?
by Artgal on April 11, 2011On St. Patrick’s day, five senate bills regarding immigration went to the floor of the Arizona state house for a vote and failed. With almost lightning speed, Facebook and other social media outlets lit up with the Arizona Delegation (the citizen activists here) responding to the news – quite angrily, I might add. Most of us were puzzled, livid and even embarrassed. My first response was in wondering if so much pressure was coming down from the federal government that we finally ‘found our level’ in the state house. I wrote to my representative in the Arizona State Senate, Frank Antenori, after I called his office asking for clarification. Ultimately, Antenori voted in favor of three bills and voted down two. ...
