Just became a #TAM this week. Can’t believe how ‘worth it’ it is to be a subscriber. Phenomenal value; bang for the buck.

And, is it just me or have the Palin-phobes been out in full force today? Had a very concerned person just tweet me, saying I should read Frank Bailey’s book. LOL. Very funny stuff.

Ok, that’s it. Just wanted to post and say ‘hi’. 🙂

redbright, I follow you on twitter and happened to catch the whole eppisode with the “concerned person”. I was cracking up. Lets see, trust Gov. Palin, her enire staff and now all her emails or Frank Baily. Hmm, tough one. I looked at many of the emails from Bailey and noticed that he was very supportive of Sarah all the way up to the vp pick. I wonder if he turned on her because he wasn’t asked to help her while she was on the vp trail.

But now I think you may be more intelligent than the WaPo editorial board. But you’re still a malevolent liar. And still pretty moronic. That is all.”

    G’day,

That Hannity interview was telling. The first thing the Democrat lady does is to compare Palin to Obama. She is effectively putting Sarah at the same level as the President. Sarah Palin has been promoted by her own opponents to Leader of the Opposition.

Not techie savvy so apologies if this is the wrong place to ask but I am a TAM who has not done anything on this website other than listen to podcasts. Now I would like to learn what song Tammy just played after Eurythmics on june 10th show. But the site is not the way it used to be and the link for music look up is either right in front of me or no where cause I can’t find it.

Can anyone help me out here?

    Love Tammy and the show.

    thanks

    • Tammy says:

Hi waltsoffice! Everyplace here is the right place! Welcome to Commenting 🙂 I play one Eurythmics song so you’re probably referring to “Would I Lie To You?” Let me know if that title sounds familiar 🙂 And yes, the site has changed, and glad you looked around. It’s still in Beta stage and one of the elements we absolutely will be adding is a widget listing the music I play on the show. So that will be coming 🙂 Thanks again.

    • imacat says:

Hi, waltsoffice! The song after Eurythmics was “Wrong” by Depeche Mode. You can find a video of the live version on YouTube. I would post the link here, but that might be pushing it a bit since it’s not directly Palin-related. Can’t wait for the music widget!:)

      • imacat says:

Actually, I’ve just discovered that there are a lot of different “mixes” of “Wrong”, and I don’t know which one Tammy has but I like it better than the few that I just listened to on YouTube. Maybe someone else knows…?

  10. mrcannon says:

There is absolutely no question that Sarah is a conservative, freedom-loving American who is proud of her country. She is quite comfortable in her own thick skin, and unapologetic about having what she has. Sarah in 2012 should be a no-brainer, and yet right-wing members of my own family are on the “Anyone but Obama as long as it isn’t Palin” bandwagon. I swear, there’s a conscious effort on the part of those on our side who won’t give Sarah their vote because she already has it all, or they’re just rooting for the underdog for the sake of it.

God help us if we’re still having this debate a year from now.

    • blogchick says:

My family is the same way. Very conservative and right-leaning folks. It makes me want to have a Tammy head explosion. Crap like….’oh, but she can’t really win..’ and ‘well, she talks kinda funny’ (like THAT is any kind of logical reason???) and ‘oh, she should just be a cheerleader for everyone else’. Oh, and my favorite… ‘well, she quit her job in Alaska, so she’ll just quit again..’ $#%!!?

And mostly, this is WOMEN in my family who are swallowing this, hook, line and sinker. I simply do not understand it. Silly me. I actually thought that conservative women were too intelligent, logical and reasonable to fall for crap like this. Sigh.

      • makeshifty says:

One of the things that irritated me about the ’08 election is people’s verbal gaffe-o-meters rating the intelligence of different candidates depending on how they spoke. Bush made gaffes that were blessings to comedians everywhere. Obama got pretty high marks for eloquence, but look at him as president, my god!

Have your family members watch her recent interview with Chris Wallace (Fox News Sunday). That might start to change their minds.

        • blogchick says:

Excellent point about Bush and his verbal gaffes. My family members do like Pres. Bush. Maybe they will recognize their own logical fallacy on this point.

    • Ginger says:

This emailgate thingy just might be the best thing to have happened to our Sarah. So many lib comments are expressing disappointment in a nonchalant way..such as thinking you were going to win first prize at something, didn’t, and then you shrug it off as no big deal. They are crushed, believe me. That little light of Sarah’s just keeps shining for all the world to see. I love it.

  12. otlset says:

Yes Tammy I agree, the content of the emails is reassuring, reinforcing our certainty that we support the right person. Sarah Palin as revealed in those emails is the most honest and faithful public servant in high office I believe I’ve ever heard about! She is exactly what she says she is. The aims and motives she has always tried to convey through the murky, twisting filter of the LSM since bursting on the national scene are shown now to have always been her modus operandi in actual practice. I’m overwhelmed with admiration.

  13. chicky says:

Great “Palin Update”. You know, I don’t think there is any way Sarah Palin won’t run. With things as they are these days, I don’t believe she could turn away. She can see, just as we can, that there isn’t ANYONE else out there standing for this Country like she has/does. As I’ve heard Tammy say before, it is no accident that Sarah Palin is here at this place in time. The Left, in all it’s forms, is desperately grasping at straws to bring her down, but will find that Palin will continue to thrive in the face of it all. Praise God for giving us Sarah Palin here and now.

Tammy has spoken about America as having the “spark of the Divine.” (Love that!!) In my book, so does the life of Sarah Palin.

My very very very favorite email in this set of stories on Governor Palin is the one from 2007 in which she discusses Senator Barack Obama and his viewpoint on oil exploration and driling. It’s a classic.

A supporter wrote this on Gov. Palin’s facebook.

    […]
I ask you then, Governor Palin, not for my sake, or my daughter’s sake, but for your own sake and the sake of all you love: Take up this fight. Battle relentlessly, not merely through a campaign season, but until your terms expire. It’s a mighty chore. It’s a terrible burden. It’s as awful in contemplation as any political endeavor I can imagine, except for surrender.

I can promise you only that which I can be certain to deliver. I do not speak for a group. I do not speak on behalf of some special interest, save my own, and I do not make idle promises: Run, Sarah Palin! Run! I will stand with you in all ways that I am able. I will deliver yard-signs. I will recruit. I will send such money as I can muster. I will paint my own quarter-mile stretch of rural highway frontage with the name “Palin.” I will be your shield, though you’ll not know it. I will get the vote out to the polls. I will take your part in every fight. I will absorb as many of the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune as circumstance will permit. My support won’t stop on election day, or upon your inauguration. It will in all ways I can make it be seamless and fluid, like a perpetual beast of burden, happily carrying his share, without break or pause or idle. I pledge this, because it’s my life, and my love, and my values now under the gun and whip of the merciless state. It is my future, the future of my daughter, and any children she might one day bear. It is our country, our freedom, and our way of life which is now under severe and gathering threat. It’s me. It’s you. I’m with you. I’d ask my fellow conservatives and also libertarians to do the same.

6 hours as a passenger on the highway this weekend with m’laptop and a mobile hot spot. Time spent sniffing through “Palin Emails” using search terms that might unearth scandal, gossip, foul language…well, you know the drill. Here is a small sampling under “ethics” search (excerpts and links). http://is.gd/ADPnqC . Conclusion – we can all run along now, there’s nothing to see here but a hard-working, capable, honest, caring, prudent, and wise citizen governor of the state of Alaska.

  23. makeshifty says:

I’d like to give credit to Anderson Cooper at CNN. Tammy was complaining that nobody in the media was covering the true story of the e-mails. Well he did. I happened to catch the segment where he talked with one of CNN’s reporters about them, and both of them were genuinely complementary towards Palin, based on what the e-mails revealed. I can’t recall exact details, but my memory is they talked about the idea that, “This is not the image we’ve had of her.” I’m not quoting, just giving a sense of the discussion. Knowing CNN’s political bent, this is saying a lot IMO. I detected that Cooper’s opinion about her changed somewhat as a result, at least willing to question the popular perception that he had probably just accepted previously. It’ll be interesting to see how he covers her in the future.

    • Kimj7157 says:

We feel this says so well what we have said over and over.

Although I am not promoting Palin for anything, I feel it is totally hypocritical of the media and especially WOMEN the way they belittle her for nothing more than being a succesful human being. I am particularly amazed that women in general but in particular the groups that have been promoting equality and opportunity for women for so long, have turned a deaf ear and their backs on this woman while she is constantly attacked and ridiculed in public. Her crime against her gender is that she is a conservative thinking individual that has taken the opportunities put in front of her and has succeded in improving her life and that of her family while serving her community. Ask the folks in Alaska how much they resent getting those royalty checks from the oil companies. The bottom line is most of those women are JEALOUS and green with envy that they are not in her position, that they do not have the looks and the guts to get out there and stand up to ridicule and insults while proving to the world that she believes and means what she says. Wouldn’t it be great if all others, male AND female politicians did the same!!?

Tammy has taught us well, so I took it to Twitter (@angelaisms):

Hey @TheEconomist: “Sarah Palin should put up or shut up, and preferably shut up.”? Seriously? Must hurt that she doesn’t answer to you.

Dear @TheEconomist: Her “antics”? You mean how she bypasses the dinosaur media and goes directly to the people? Ohs noes, the horrors!

    Hi All,

Following is a copy of what I posted at Big Government on Tammy’s article – “Why Sarah Palin Must Run in 2012”. I will add more at the end.

“Thanks Tammy – from a Tam and a strong supporter of Sarah Palin. The reference here to MB’s “excuse” for why she voted for additional powers in the now so-called Patriot Act should be watched/listened to by all. She is part of the system, helping the good ole boys try to stop Sarah – who is the ONLY one who can turn our beloved country around. To those Ron Paul supporters – he really has no chance. Please take a close look at Sarah’s positions – she is closer to him on monetary policy than anyone else. While she disagrees with him on some national security and foreign policy issues – she is definitely leaning in the way Reagan did – look at her 5 Points talk in Colorado – I believe you will see that she understands exactly what is needed and how to proceed.”

As you all can see, I was also speaking to some of the Ron Paul supporters. I believe it very important we work to demonstrate to those currently backing other candidates the strength of Sarah’s positions – she has a strong libertarian streak, as well as her performance as Gov, as better explained in the upcoming movie – can’t wait to see it.
