Rep. Allen West Considering Leaving Black Caucus
by Tammy on August 31, 2011There will be times when we disagree with Rep. West, but what drew me to him in the first place are his core values, authentic conservativism, and genuine heart-felt love for this country. I remember when he joined the Congressional Black Caucus some questioned whether he should. Clearly, we can only change certain things from the inside, but the recent comments by some members of caucus has Congressman West rethinking, as you might imagine, his involvement with the group. West considering leaving Black Caucus Rep. Allen West (Fla.), the lone Republican in the Congressional Black Caucus, said Tuesday morning that he is considering leaving the group in light of comments made by Rep. Andrè Carson (D-Ind.), the caucus whip, who...

FreedomWorks Protesting Romney Tea Party Appearance
by Tammy on August 31, 2011Good for them. Romney is the antithesis of Tea Party principles. I’ll have FreedomWorks’ Tabitha Hale on Tammy Radio tomorrow to discuss this development and addition Tea Party news. Here’s the FreedomWorks statement: After months of distancing himself from the tea party, suddenly Mitt Romney wants to be one of us. That’s right, the big-spending former governor who signed Massachusetts’ very own version of ObamaCare is scheduled to take the stage this Sunday at a rally in Concord, NH to lecture real conservatives about limited government and fiscal responsibility. FreedomWorks and tea party groups from around the region will be there. But not to hear more platitudes from an establishment hack posing as an outsider. We’ll be there to tell...

Cow Tales Series: C.O.W.’s Gate Escape
by Pat_S on August 31, 2011UPDATE: It seems this post has had the “no links” rule lifted for animal stories only :) Oh, the Irish sense of humor. Daisy had farmer Tom Grant bamboozled for awhile. Every night he locked Daisy and the other cows in their shed only to find them wandering freely in the pasture in the morning. A special investigator was called in to help solve the mystery. Here is the tale exquisitely told by an Irish newscast. Cow learns how to open gate Huh, Orwellian fashion? Was Daisy playing a prank on farmer Tom or is there a bit of blarney going on here? (Hat tip to imacatLR for sending in this cow tale. Cow tales can be submitted to me...

New Tammy Radio Time Slot: 10am-12pm PT
by Tammy on August 29, 2011I’ve been thinking about this for quite some time, but a double booking this week on Fox confirmed the need to do it. Up until now, I’ve needed to cut Tammy Radio by an hour in order to make sure I’d get to Fox in time for either Scoreboard of O’Reilly. We can easily avoid that conflict by having the show start an hour early, which is what I’ve done. Everything’s the same, just go to Talk Stream Live as usual, but at 10am PT and you’ll see the Tammy Radio links. I’m looking forward to the new time slot which begins tomorrow, Tuesday August 30th. I’ll also be on O’Reilly tomorrow night so we’ll be able to have our...

The Storm Within The Calm
by Pat_S on August 29, 2011I really don’t disparage the earnest, bordering on zealous, warnings and preparation swirling around hurricane Irene. The potential destruction resulting from a massive storm traveling up the densely populated East Coast was nothing to take lightly. Thankfully the storm wasn’t as catastrophic as it could have been. Nevertheless, lives have been lost, people remain in dangerous situations, clean-up will be hard work and costly. My thoughts and prayers go out to all who have been affected. There will always be idiots who get themselves in trouble for having no common sense. Listening to the news you would think it has come to pass that Americans generally do not know when to come in out of the rain. Post-Katrina, no politician...
