On Friday Tammy talked about the retro portrayal of women in the upcoming TV season. If you think American women have a complaint over the new Charlie’s Angels or Pan Am, think of the women in China.

The Chinese TV talent show Super Girl featuring female singing contestants ran afoul of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television. The popular show will be replaced by shows that “provide practical information for housework”

China media watchdog pulls smash-hit talent show

“Hunan Satellite Television obeys the state watchdog’s decision and will not hold similar talent shows next year,” he was quoted as saying.

“Instead, the channel will air programmes that promote moral ethics, public safety and provide practical information for housework.”

Tammy pointed out the retro shows were trying to cash in on the popularity of the show Mad Men. In China the shows are dictated by mad men.

China is a prison, and United States cater to it. Damn the Free Trade when not enough is made in the USA for export.

Given this news, I guess my trip to pitch the Bravo TV Chinese Franchise of “The Real Housewifes of Tianjin and Qingdao and Shenyang” to the ‘State Administration of Radio, Film and Television’ aka ‘The Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice’ aka ‘Ministry of Truth'(Miniture) is a ‘no go’? But we comply with the guidelines: our programmes WILL promote moral ethics, public safety and provide practical information for housework.”—Just like the American counterparts, we promise! Get Hillary on the phone!, I don’t care if she’s sleeping and it’s 3am! Wake Her Up! Lie to her and tell her it’s Donald Trump!
