Sarah Palin Threatens to Sue ‘Rogue’ Book Publisher
by Tammy on September 26, 2011Good for her. This McGinnis piece of trash and all the other attacks on the Palins, of course, are all about 2012. I like that she’s standing up for herself, and in doing so is working to change this increasingly putrid political environment. Enough is enough. Sarah Palin’s family attorney John Tiemessen has written a letter to Maya Mavjee, the publisher of the Crown Publishing Group, a division of Random House, that Palin may sue her, the company, and the book’s author Joe McGinniss “for knowingly publishing false statements” in his book released last week, “The Rogue,” ABC News has learned. The book was widely panned by critics for using unnamed sources to criticize Palin and her family. Tiemessen cites...

Herman Cain Wins FL Straw Poll, Politics & Palin Lounge
by Tammy on September 24, 2011UPDATE: This week’s Palin Report has posted :) Well, well, I’d say this little piece of news is a reminder that the field is wide open, and voters aren’t to happy with the Machine and LSM ‘anointed’ candidates. Thank goodness it appears Americans have stopped ‘getting our a**es in line.” You know I’m concerned about Cain’s lack of readiness for the presidency, and he seems like a terrific guy. I also believe he’d be a great asset to the next president. That said, this sends an important message to everyone, especially those still on the sidelines, that this is a wide open adventure amongst those who count–the voters. This post is a Lounge, and so the usual “no links” rule...

Run, Chris Christie, Run!
by Tammy on September 23, 2011The Republican Establishment seems to now be tossing in ‘candidates’ like they would spaghetti noodles you throw on the fridge to see if they’ll stick. So just as we are with Rick Perry, Americans can find out for themselves just exactly how unpresidential, and not quite ready, Chris Christie is. After all, arrogant blowhard bullying only goes so far. I’ve been noting for quite some time, though, that everyone who can run should run so Americans can completely own the end result. My one question is, who do they go to when Christie falls off the fridge? Carrot Top? Tom Selleck? Rin Tin Tin? The Ghost of John Wayne? John Wayne’s Hat? So run, Chris Christie, run! But he’ll have...

‘Faster Than Light’ Particles Make Time Travel Possible, Scientist Says
by Tammy on September 23, 2011An amazing story which I covered in depth in Thursday’s “Daily TAM Briefing,” and I’d love to see what TAMs and readers think :) Because you may have additional information about this that would be well served by an outside source, the “No Links” rule is lifted for the post on this topic. The main issue for me is this means that the foundation of quantum physics has been wrong and, if this discovery ends up being true, everyone would have to start from scratch. To say nothing of the possibility of time travel, which some scientists say this makes possible. I don’t know if God had that in mind, so we’ll see if the puny humans know what it...

US walks out of UN as Iran delivers anti-US speech
by Tammy on September 22, 2011The big question, of course, is why is this genocidal maniac even allowed in the United States? We’ve blocked freaks before, like Arafat, yet allow this clearly insane beast who publicly advocates for mass murder. While I’m glad we, and others, walked out, it’s a travesty this thing is in New York at all. UNITED NATIONS (AP) — American diplomats led a walkout at the U.N. General Assembly Thursday as Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad issued a sweeping attack on the United States and major West European nations, calling them “arrogant powers” ruled by greed and eager for military adventurism. The two U.S. diplomats, who specialize in the Middle East, were followed out of the chamber by diplomats from more than...

Politics, News & Palin Lounge 9-21-11
by Tammy on September 21, 2011UPDATE: The picture of Dear Leader Dumb Bastard is now a “Caption This” contest. Have at it! Welcome to the midweek Lounge. As with the other Lounges, the usual no-links rule is lifted due to the nature of lounging and sharing :) Comments including links, however, will still be moderated. DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND: CAPTION THIS! PJ Tatler: Obama waving-hand gaffe picture NOT a hoax or a Photoshop after all! RCP: Palin: “Mark My Word, It Is Going To Be An Unconventional Election” McClatchy-Marist: Palin within 5 points of Obama. Actually, with a 3 pt MoE (which you apply to both elements), that means she very well could be ahead by a point. Amb John Bolton: Palestinian U.N. Statehood Bid...
