Public Podcast: Today’s Tammy Radio Show 9-7-11
by Tammy on September 7, 2011Here’s a sneak peek for everyone of the podcast edition of the live Tammy Radio show. Every day subscribers (Tammy Army Members=TAMs) get the show on demand just like this. I felt it an important show to release to the public considering the ramped up attacks on Tea Party in general by the left and Obama’s gestapos, plus now attacks on Sarah Palin’s supporters by some of our friends on the right. I wanted to make sure we had perspective about this strategy, hopefully helping us stay focused as these attacks will only increase as we proceed. The first hour is focused on this issue, with the Laura Ingraham/Ann Coulter discussion on O’Reilly last night as the focal point. I...

Cow Tales Series: Homeopathy On The Range
by Pat_S on September 7, 2011The European Agriculture Committee wants to spend 2 million euros (approx 2.8 million dollars) to test homeopathy as a treatment for sick cows. Antibiotic resistance is a growing problem and the European Parliament called for a reduction in antibiotic use in livestock. Skeptics question whether homeopathy deserves consideration, especially at such a cost in difficult economic times. Homeopathy (a.k.a. homeopathic medicine) is a spurious approach to medicine which some call quackery. (Yes, yes, in this case we could call it moo-ery.) The idea is to stimulate the body’s ability to heal itself by giving greatly diluted doses of a substance which causes illness in healthy people. Ultimately the patient is given what, in the eyes of science, is plain water...

Jimmy Hoffa Defends Attack on Tea Party, Says He Has No Regrets
by Tammy on September 6, 2011**UPDATE TAM & Arizona tea party leader responds to Hoffa’s remarks** **UPDATE: Rick Perry refuses to condemn Hoffa’s comments** After preceding Obama on Sunday at union rally with words that can only be interpreted as a call to violence against Tea Partiers, Teamster president Jimmy Hoffa says he has no regrets and would use the same words all over again. One of my warnings to all Tea Party was that the Left was going to turn to violence when they realized they were in existential trouble. So-called leftist and union leadership seems to be clearly trying to provoke some in the constituency to engage in violence. Look, if they think an election as from Sarah Palin featuring a map and...

August Jobs Report — Zero
by Pat_S on September 2, 2011First zero jobs report since 1945. Some media outlets are expressing the news as employers added zero jobs leaving an impression it was a willful act not to hire workers rather than a consequence of a moribund economy. Maybe the media will crank up the noise about CEO’s big paychecks and corporations not paying taxes. What’s a President to do if obstinate employers just won’t hire people? August jobs report: Hiring grinds to a halt About 14 million Americans remain unemployed and 42.9% of them have been out of work more than six months. Another 2.6 million people were considered “marginally attached” to the workforce in August. They wanted and were available for work, and had looked for a job...

Special Tammy Speech Selection: Florida State University 2004
by Tammy on September 1, 2011Since there will be no Tammy Radio today as a result my flying to Des Moines for the Tea Party rally, I thought I’d bring this speech of mine to your attention and hope you enjoy it. It’s a 2004 speech at FSU at Tallahassee. Of all the lectures and presentations I’ve given I am particularly proud of this one, and am honored to say it’s a favorite of Tammy readers and listeners as well. I was invited by FSU to speak about how conservative ideals benefit women, blacks, gays and all minorities. The room has about 200 people in it, and you’ll see the rather lukewarm reception I received at the beginning. The room was, I must say, a...
