Occupy Wall Street — the Beginning of Obama’s Campaign

As one month of “Occupy Wall Street” passes, it’s fascinating how media and politicians alike, with one or two exceptions, have managed a remarkable suspension of disbelief when it comes to the organized source of these open-air leftist animal houses.

These are not protests against Wall Street, they’re protests for Barack Obama’s re-election campaign and are organized and directed by a number of his campaign supporting organizations, including one of his favorite — the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). It is also an indication of a virtual meltdown of the left, but could succeed if the GOP continues to fumble the ball in response…

I think socialism is occupying their clueless brains, and it won’t leave! And now it stinks something awful in there!

  2. It is great that Tammy’s views on this are now published in print. Hopefully the GOP will wise up soon and get aggressive with their response. Please, everyone post the link to this article on FB and twitter. Maybe under the headline, “Obama 2012 campaign behind Occupy protests. Timed to begin just after his call for jobs bill passage.” or something:)

Tammy, you are an amazing political analyst! Great column, and I am so glad you are the voice of reason for the cause!

I think the Dumb Bastard’s campaign finance committee should be charged for the cleanup after his minions and the legal cost to localities to protect innocent citizens. He’s always bragging about how much money his campaign is raising from people who still believe this lying SOB. How about George Soros – he’s helping fund the “occupests” – let him reimburse businesses, and property owners who are suffering in this horrible economic time.

Barack Obama and George Soros: worthless excuses for human beings and these people following them to disaster are no better.

Tammy that was a fabulous article! I am sending it everywhere. I am so glad you are doing columns so we TAMs can get the truth out on our email lists as well as twitter and Facebook. I am printing it out to snail mail to people who don’t have computers or their computers are broken and they can’t afford to have them fixed.

Not sure if I have this right, but the narrative coming out of Fox News, and even Glenn Beck, if I recall correctly, is that OWS started out as spontaneous, but within a couple weeks the Democrats and their allies were cozying up to it and co-opting it.

Stanley Kurtz said that from doing extensive research on Obama’s political past, he discovered that Obama had been doing an “inside, outside” strategy in IL when he was a state legislator. Obama was the “insider,” in his position as a state senator. He would act nice to businesses, but behind the scenes where hardly anyone was looking, he was coordinating with Acorn (who were the “outsiders”) to use their thuggish tactics against those same business interests. So it was a “good cop, bad cop” routine. When I saw OWS, and the Obama Admin. response, it seemed to me to be the same thing.

Great column, Tammy! I look forward to tantrums by lefty friends when I share it on Facebook! 🙂

Awesome piece again Ms. Bruce. Sharp and a direct hit on what this is all about. Are you sure President Palin can’t offer you a job as White House Press Secretary? Could prove to be interesting… 🙂 She’s going to need someone to put the LSM in it’s rightful place.

  9. […] I am opening the Shrine today for a wonderful new essay for our prophetess of economy and finance, Professor Athena. The topic is Occupy Wall Street, which (as Tammy Bruce notes) is actually the opening of Team Obama’s 2012 … […]
