When liberals open their pie holes they’re lying, so it’s just nice to see it being in print. At the same time it’s important to note that “Politifact,” the entity that declares the “Lie of the Year,” is considered by many to have at least a liberal bias, having attacked Republicans for the last couple of years running specifically on the health care issue. Funny what happens when some sense a change in the wind coming.
The claim that House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan’s budget would end Medicare is the “lie of the year,” according to the fact-checking website Politifact.
According to Politifact’s analysis, saying the Ryan plan “ends Medicare” overlooks the fact that its changes would not affect people 55 and older. Politifact also said Medicare would remain in existence, but in a different form — which Ryan’s critics say is the same thing as ending Medicare.
Democrats and liberals slammed the decision and stood by the contention that Ryan’s proposal would end Medicare.
Speaking of Lies and Politics:
My favorite Lies?
1st Place: “Lying by Omission” Also known as a continuing misrepresentation, a lie by omission occurs when an important fact is left out in order to foster a misconception. Lying by omission includes failures to correct pre-existing misconceptions. Sound familiar?
2nd Place: “Misleading/dissembling” A misleading statement is one where there is no outright lie, but still retains the purpose of getting someone to believe in an untruth. “Dissembling” likewise describes the presentation of facts in a way that is literally true, but intentionally misleading. Example: White House Press Briefings with Jay Carney and anything the DFB utters through his piehole.
3rd Place: “The Noble Lie” A noble lie is one that would normally cause discord if uncovered, but offers some benefit to the liar and assists in an orderly society, therefore, potentially beneficial to others. It is often told to maintain law, order and safety. Example: The Extraterrestrials among us right now.

I just have to say thanks Tammy for choosing this dreamy pic of Paul Ryan. Even though Paul Ryan reminds me of Eddie Munster, he’s a hottie! :)
