This is just beautiful. Indeed, all is not lost when high school students spontaneously chant in support of Scott Walker when confronted with moonbat union “singers.” All this in the Madison capitol building. Bravo and God bless all of those kids 🙂 (HT Morrissey at Hot Air).

Sheboygan Lutheran students surprised at furor over Wisconsin state Capitol visit

When about 300 Sheboygan Lutheran High School students and supporters piled into the rotunda of the State Capitol in Madison last Thursday after the boys basketball team clinched a trip to the finals for the Division 5 WIAA state championship, they had some time to spare.

Sharing the rotunda with a small group of pro-union demonstrators singing songs, the Lutheran High group broke into spontaneous cheers “Stand with Walker!” interspersed with cries of “LHS! LHS!” and the Common Doxology.

The resulting furor since the event has surprised school officials and state Sen. Joe Leibham, a Lutheran High alumnus who invited the group to the Capitol for a photo with the team and a celebratory reception.

“Friday morning, we had a couple of nasty phone calls all of a sudden,” said Jim Pingel, Lutheran’s executive director. “People identified themselves as union leaders, protesters. They were passive-aggressive, menacing.”

Liberal activists called the school to complain, and conservative talk radio hosts have spent days discussing the students’ actions. Charlie Sykes of WTMJ-AM in Milwaukee wrote in an online blog post that the students “decided to fight back against the anti-Walker sentiment they were witnessing during an impromptu visit.”

Is Sheboygan Lutheran High School a private Christian school? If not, then this is really truly amazing and heartening. God bless them.

This really gives us hope. When you spend so much time fighting the liberal, leftist agenda and think there is no light at the end of that very long tunnel…this gives you HOPE – the real kind, not the DB’s bulsh.

The Obama “light at the end of the tunnel” is… wait for it… an oncoming train.

Yes, Patricia, this *does* give us real hope. I love these kids! 🙂

Having been a High School kid myself and a Adult Survivor of Teenage Children (A.S.T.C.), I suspect the real motive was to antagonize irrespective of the issues or the adult targets.

    Just saying… they’re teenagers.

The heavens opened up–and, behold, a pro-Walker chant! I really hope this goes viral. I know I will post it wherever I can.

I try to follow YAL Young Americans For Liberty. They are strong Constitutionalists. I’ve been thinking there is a chance that some of our college students love the Constitution more than the government. This was heartwarming.

These kids brought a tear to my eye. Kids instinctively recoil when adults act like children, and these union thug adults clearly made these teens ill. Good for them, this is hope.
